Job Purpose:

As Senior Software Quality and Test Engineer, you will be responsible for initially identifying and subsequently defining the required tests, monitoring test coverage and evaluating the quality experienced when testing the target Test Items. This role also involves specifying the required test data and evaluating the outcome of the testing conducted in each test cycle. This role will provide key inputs for testing during the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and may support customer  validation  activities  to  support  the  successful  validation  of  our  products  and  services  within  customer organizations. Another key aspect of the role is the contribution to the continuous improvement of the capability within the organization to facilitate first-time-quality, and as such the role must be oriented towards teamwork in an emerging and flexible environment.

Key Accountabilities:

Accountability Supporting Activities Testing

• Responsible for the creation of test cases using own in-depth technical analysis of   both   functional   and   non-functional specifications   such   as   reliability, efficiency, usability, maintainability and portability).
• Creates traceability records, from test cases back to requirements.
• Produces test scripts, materials and regression test packs to test new and amended software or services.
• Specifies  requirements  for  environment,  data,  resources  and  tools.  Interprets, executes   and   documents   complex   test   scripts   using   agreed   methods   and standards.
• Records and analyses actions and results, and maintains a defect register. Reviews test results and modifies tests if necessary. −Provides  reports  on  progress,  anomalies,  risks  and  issues  associated  with  the overall project. Reports on system quality and collects metrics on test cases.−Provides specialist advice to support others.

Quality Assurance

• Conducts  formal  audits  or  reviews  to  investigates  the  conduct  of  processes  to ensure  compliance  with  organizational  standards  for  activities,  processes,  data, products or services.
• For  projects,  development  or  support  activities;  plans, organizes  and  conducts audits and determines whether appropriate quality control has been applied.
• Collates, collects and examines records, analyses the evidence and drafts all or part of formal compliance reports.
• Determines the risks associated with findings and non-compliances and proposes corrective actions. Relationship Management
• Implements stakeholder engagement / communications plan.
• Deals with problems and issues, managing resolutions, corrective actions, lessons learned and the collection and dissemination of relevant information. Collects  and  uses  feedback  from  customers  and  stakeholders  to  help  measure effectiveness of stakeholder management.
• Helps develop and enhance customer and stakeholder relationships. Understands  and collaborates  on  the  analysis  of  user/customer  needs  and represents this in their work.
• Influences customers, suppliers and partners at account level.
• Engages  across  all  stakeholders  to  ensure  that  user  needs  are  being  met throughout
• Provides informed feedback to assess and promote understanding.
