You will join a highly skilled, multidisciplinary innovation team (~10β15 engineers) working at the intersection of software, robotics, and mechanical engineering, driving innovation that directly impacts global food production.
π About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing industrial-grade embedded software systems for advanced food processing equipment.
Working closely with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers, you will contribute across the full product lifecycleβfrom concept development and architecture to implementation, testing, and long-term maintenance.
This role is centered on robust, high-performance, and reliable software in complex industrial environments where quality and correctness are critical.
π§ What Youβll Do
Software Development & System Ownership
- Design and implement embedded and industrial software primarily in modern C++
- Develop software close to hardware, machines, and devices, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
- Take end-to-end ownership of features and componentsβfrom idea and architecture to deployment and maintenance
Architecture & Technical Leadership
- Contribute to system-level thinking and software architecture decisions
- Drive technical direction and best practices within the team
- Ensure solutions meet performance, stability, and long-lifecycle requirements
Quality & Engineering Excellence
- Act as a quality champion, ensuring software meets industrial-grade standards
- Own coding standards, reviews, and technical improvements
- Deliver robust, deterministic, and maintainable software built for long-living products
Collaboration & Agile Execution
- Work in a Scrum-based environment, contributing to planning, refinement, and retrospectives
- Collaborate closely with software, hardware, and systems engineers
- Communicate clearly about technical trade-offs, risks, and dependencies
Mentorship & Team Development
- Act as a senior role model within the team
- Support and mentor colleagues through code reviews, sparring, and feedback
- Contribute to continuous improvement of both product and team ways of working

- Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in computer science or similar, or comparable work experience and knowledge
- Strong experience with modern C++ in embedded and industrial software systems
- Solid background in Linux-based embedded platforms, including cross-compilation, build systems, deployment pipelines
- Experience developing software close to hardware, devices, or machines
- Strong understanding of system constraints, real-time or deterministic behaviour, performance and reliability in production systems
- Structured & Analytical: You design reliable systems with clarity and precision
- Proven ability to act as a senior technical contributor in Scrum teams
- Experience mentoring developers and influencing technical direction
- Strong communication skills in an international environment (English required)

- Experience with robotics, automation, or machine control systems (PLC / motion control)
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols and embedded architectures
- Experience working on long lifecycle products with evolving platforms
- Exposure to MES/production systems or IoT integrations (e.g. Azure-based ecosystems)
