About this Senior Marketing Manager role at Hilbert's AI

Hilbert's AI · Hybrid · San Francisco

Hilbert is a data science-first growth infrastructure. It tells B2C teams what their users are about to do, what is actually moving revenue, and which action to take next. Agentic by design, it compresses decisions that used to take months into minutes — built by operators, mathematicians and engineers who lived that complexity at scale and decided to end it.

We work with the operators who move first: Fortune 500 enterprises, beloved consumer brands like FreshDirect and Blank Street Coffee, and the AI-native companies redefining how software gets built. Series A, led by a16z.

The Opportunity

Hilbert is known in rooms: by founders, by the teams we work with, by leaders who've heard our story. We're hiring a Marketing Manager to build the other half — a market that finds us before we ever reach out.

You'll own our channels end to end: LinkedIn for the company and our founder voices, the blog, search and AI discoverability and distribution of our videocast. You've run field events or a community program, and you know the difference between a dinner that produces pipeline and one that produces photos.

You'll go looking for the channels that aren't on the list. Reddit, trade press, wherever the evidence points. Write the hypothesis, run it small, scale what works and drop what doesn't.

Product marketing owns the story; the Growth and GTM leads own the strategy. Execution is yours: which channels carry the message, how often it reaches buyers, and whether it becomes a real conversation.

This is a zero-to-one seat. You'll build the function before you build a team. The story already works in the room — your job is to make it travel, and everything you build compounds.

What You'll Do

Voice & Publishing:

  • Own the publication rhythm and the mechanics behind it: Ghostwriting, editing and coaching to get what's in our leadership's heads onto the feed; cadence, amplification, employee advocacy, network growth and engagement to make sure it travels. The test is that the feed doesn't go quiet in the weeks the calendar gets busy.

  • Partner with product marketing, and put real customer stories in front of people: Use cases, case studies, industry pages and solutions documentation are theirs to own — you supply the raw material and own the format, where it lives, when it ships and how it gets found. Technical whitepapers you write together: they bring the evidence, you bring the structure and the reach.

  • Turn our point of view into published output: The blog, posts, essays, breakdowns, and the newsletter — the issues and the list behind it. Product marketing sets the argument and the Growth and GTM leads set the strategy; you decide what goes out, when, in what form, and on which channel.

  • Own the repurposing system: One insight or customer story becomes a post, a clip, a landing page section, a one-pager and a newsletter. When something performs, it gets re-cut rather than replaced. A good asset published once is a miss.

Channels & Discovery:

  • Show up where our buyers already talk: Industry press, and the communities where retail and growth people actually argue, online and off. Read before posting, contribute before promoting.

  • Find the channels that aren't on this list yet: Reddit, trade press, wherever the evidence points. Each starts as a written hypothesis with a scope and a date. You report what you learned as precisely as what worked.

  • Build SEO and AEO from zero: Site architecture, schema, question and keyword mapping. When a Chief Growth Officer searches for their problem, or asks an AI assistant about it, Hilbert should be in the answer.

Events & Community:

  • Design the rooms: Hosted events in our hub cities, one vertical at a time, putting customers, investors and industry leaders in the same place. You own the city, the guest list, the format and the follow-up. The output is a community inside each vertical and warm introductions that arrive without an ask.

  • Own Hilbert Space distribution, our videocast: Clips, promotion, publishing, audience growth. Production sits with a freelance editor and guests sit with our GTM team; your work starts once the episode is recorded.

Conversion & Measurement

  • Build the conversion layer: Landing pages, tracking, lifecycle and nurture, and a clean handoff into sales. A form that goes nowhere is a channel that doesn't count.

  • Measure conversations, not traffic: We sell large, complex, long-cycle contracts, so the numbers that matter are account engagement and meeting acceptance, not clicks and form fills. Every experiment carries a hypothesis and a time box, and what fails gets killed out loud, so the team learns from it.

Be AI-Native By Default

  • If a task is being done manually, your instinct is to ask why, and then build the system that does it. Research pipelines, drafting systems, distribution, reporting. Every GTM person at Hilbert works this way.

Who Thrives in This Role

You'll do well here if you've built an audience from nothing before, can explain exactly how, and judge your own work by what it moved rather than what it shipped.

  • You've built a channel from nothing, and you can say what it produced besides followers. A newsletter, an event series, a blog, a founder's LinkedIn, an SEO footprint. You can explain exactly how you got there.

  • You can write, and you can write as someone else. Arguments, not copy — and the argument still lands in a founder’s voice. The hardest version of this job is short — a post someone stops scrolling for, a newsletter people open on a Tuesday.

  • You’ve turned customer evidence into assets. Case studies, use cases, a whitepaper written with someone technical — then the posts, and clips that come out of them.

  • You've built SEO from zero, not maintained someone else's. Nobody has five years of AEO, but you’re already paying attention to how AI agents surface and cite sources.

  • You’ve put a room together. A dinner, a salon, a small summit — your guest list, your format, your follow-up, and you know why most produce photos instead of pipeline. You contribute before you promote

  • You’ve built what campaigns land on. Landing pages, tracking, lifecycle and nurture, with a handoff into sales that doesn’t leak. You care about conversations not traffic — you write the hypothesis before you run it, and kill your own ideas quickly when the numbers say so.

  • You work like an operator, at AI speed. You spot the gap and ship the fix without being asked, and you've built with AI — research pipelines, drafting systems, distribution, not prompting in a chat window.

Even better if:

  • You've been employee #1–20 at an early-stage B2B company, and you know what building a function looks like before there's a team, a playbook, or an inbound pipeline to work with.

  • You’ve worked on retail, commerce, or data products.

  • You've run a video or media program and know what makes a format work over time.

Experience: 5+ years in content or growth marketing, at least two of them marketing to enterprise or mid-market — long cycles, several stakeholders, nothing self-serve.
