The Senior Analyst, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), is primarily responsible for designing, supporting, and maintaining assigned Human Resources Information Systems, including inbound and outbound integrations. This individual serves as a technical point of contact for assigned functional areas and assists subject matter experts in maintaining data integrity and improving efficiency.

The Senior Analyst analyzes data flows, identifies process improvement opportunities, administers and maintains systems, evaluates functionality, supports system design and configuration, tests changes, writes reports, and develops integrations between internal and external systems. This position also supports system release testing and manages small to midsize People Group projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

People

  • Proactively partner with key stakeholders and leaders to identify process improvement opportunities through the use or enhancement of existing or new functionality within People Technology systems and share best practices.

Client

  • Design, develop, configure, and implement People Technology enhancements based on internal client requests, requirements, recommendations, and business needs.
  • Set up and maintain People Group SharePoint site content and grant user access as appropriate.
  • Create reports and dashboards based on business and internal client needs.
  • Participate in the development of project plans and initiatives, as needed, and contribute to other People Group projects.
  • Develop user procedures, guidelines, and documentation for all systems. Create training materials and train new end users and team members on processes and functionality.

  • Assist with implementing and deploying enhancements and feature releases in People Technology systems.
  • Ensure the organizational hierarchy and structure are consistent with the needs of the Firm, and work with key stakeholders to ensure data is appropriately aligned and flows correctly to other systems.
  • Manage the review and testing of newly implemented functionality and regular service updates. Define test criteria and test scripts, ensure adequate testing is performed on system modifications to support data quality assurance, and resolve issues resulting from updates and patches.
  • Research and resolve system problems and recommend system or process improvements.
  • Monitor interfaces between People Technology, other internal systems, and external vendor systems. Work with vendors to research and resolve system errors.
  • Perform data conversion, data validation, and mass data-load activities in People Group systems as assigned.
  • Manage internal control requirements for People Technology system processes.
  • Drive all aspects of system reporting, including the creation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports; Equal Employment Opportunity compliance reports; and ad hoc reports, as needed.
  • Maintain data accuracy and integrity in all People Technology systems by running audit reports, investigating errors, identifying recurring trends, and taking corrective action.
  • Establish and maintain current People Technology functional documentation, standard operating procedures, and a comprehensive People Technology report library.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.
  • Five to seven years of related experience, including significant experience with Human Resources Information Systems, data analysis, and reporting, and a solid understanding of human resources data and processes.
  • Functional knowledge of Workday and Workday Report Writer is strongly desired.
  • Experience delivering and supporting Workday Human Capital Management is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to take initiative, establish priorities, meet deadlines, and make decisions within the assigned functional area with minimal direct supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced Microsoft Excel skills and intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access, SharePoint, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

  • Standard indoor office environment.
  • Long periods of sitting while working at a computer.
  • Occasional long periods of standing.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 pounds.
  • Regular interaction with employees and vendors in person and by email and telephone.
  • Independent travel of less than 10%.
