Role Overview

The Senior Engineer I, Electrical Engineering is responsible for the design, development, integration, and support of electrical systems used in advanced semiconductor capital equipment. This role works closely with systems, mechanical, software, process, and manufacturing teams to develop reliable, scalable, and high-performance solutions that meet product requirements and customer needs.

 

What you will be working on

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems and subsystems for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, including power distribution, controls, grounding, safety systems, and signal interfaces.
  • Translate system requirements into electrical designs and specifications.
  • Support the integration and validation of electrical hardware, controls, sensors, motion systems, and other key subsystems.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to design decisions throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and electromechanical issues through structured root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Collaborate with systems, software, mechanical, and process engineering teams to ensure successful product development and system integration.
  • Support compliance with applicable industry standards, safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain engineering documentation, schematics, specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
  • Support product improvements, reliability initiatives, and cost-reduction efforts.
  • Provide technical support during prototype builds, system testing, manufacturing transfer, and customer escalations.

 

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline with 5+ years of relevant industry experience, or
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline with 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience designing or supporting electrical systems in semiconductor capital equipment, industrial automation, or other complex electromechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical design principles, power distribution systems, controls, sensors, and motion control technologies.
  • Familiarity with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation practices.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional engineering environment.

 

What sets you apart

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in semiconductor equipment development, manufacturing, or applications engineering.
  • Familiarity with RF power systems, PLCs, motion control systems, or safety controls.
  • Knowledge of SEMI standards, CE/UL requirements, and electrical safety principles.
  • Experience participating in FMEA, risk assessments, and reliability improvement activities.
  • Exposure to system integration, product validation, and field issue resolution.
  • Experience working directly with suppliers, manufacturing teams, or customers.
