About this Senior Director, People Development and Enablement role at Lonza
Today, Lonza is a global leader in life sciences operating across five continents.
While we work in science, there’s no magic formula to how we do it. Our greatest scientific solution is talented people working together, devising ideas that help businesses to help people. In exchange, we let our people own their careers. Their ideas, big and small, genuinely improve the world. And that’s the kind of work we want to be part of.
At Lonza, we are looking for a Senior Director, People Development and Enablement to lead the development and execution of our global Learning & Enablement strategy, shaping how our people and leaders build the capabilities needed to support Lonza’s long-term success. - Define and embed global leadership development frameworks and solutions that strengthen leadership capability and support Lonza’s culture and strategic priorities.
- Lead the global employee engagement survey strategy, enhancing insights and reporting while translating employee feedback into targeted actions that improve engagement, performance, retention, and the overall employee experience.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, HR Business Partners, and key stakeholders, providing expert consultation and building alignment around learning, leadership, engagement, and capability priorities.
- Lead cross-functional and agile teams to design and implement enterprise solutions, while bringing external trends, market insights, and innovative practices into Lonza’s People Development agenda.
- Establish meaningful metrics and analytics to measure effectiveness, learner engagement, adoption, business impact, and ROI, using insights to continuously improve solutions and services.
- Manage the learning and enablement ecosystem of external partners, consultants, and technology vendors, ensuring quality, value, innovation, and alignment with Lonza’s requirements.
Required qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in Learning & Development, leadership development, organizational capability, talent, employee engagement, or related People/HR disciplines.
- Deep expertise in developing and executing global learning, leadership development, and organizational capability strategies within complex, multinational organizations.
- Proven experience designing and managing enterprise learning products, programmes, frameworks, toolkits, and scalable capability-building solutions.
- Strong expertise in digital learning technologies, learning platforms, and learner experience, with demonstrated success driving adoption and sustainable use of digital solutions.
