Senior Application Development Specialist

Collaborate with Innovative 3Mers Around the World.

As a Personal Care Application Engineer for the Latin America market within 3M’s Industrial Specialties Division, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role:

• Participating in cross functional teams to support development efforts in the Personal Care platform, gathering critical customer feedback and supporting the commercialization of key growth products.
• Leads product trials at customer sites
• Collaborates with sales team to win new business and defend at-risk business
• Supports new product introductions
• Assists in determining the competitive landscape for the overall global market.
• Prepared and available for travel to customer locations throughout the U.S. and Canada

Your Skills and Expertise:

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
• Five (5) years of application engineering and customer facing technology development in a private, public, government or military environment
• Fluent English level is required
• Intermediate or higher Spanish level is required.
• Current, valid Driver’s License.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Material Science from an accredited institution.
• Five (5) years of application engineering and customer facing technology development in the Personal Care industry.
• The ability to build personal relationships both internally at 3M and externally with customers.
• Experience developing and substantiating product claims.
• Experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies.

Work location:

• Work Location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the Sumare Offices.
• Travel: May include up to 20% domestic / 20% international.
• Relocation: N/A
