About the Role:

As a Senior Accountant at ShopMy, you'll be a core part of the Finance team, supporting the day to day accounting operations that keep the business running. You'll bring solid accounting fundamentals and industry experience, and thrive in a fast moving environment where priorities shift.

Your Impact to the Role:

• Support month end and year end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP
• Assist with internal controls, compliance, and audit preparation
• Partner cross functionally to gather data and resolve discrepancies
• Help identify and implement process improvements
• Support external audits, tax filings, and other regulatory requirements as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Solid understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
• Experience in technology, e-commerce, or a high growth startup environment preferred
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Based in NYC or the Bay Area 

Bonus Points:

• CPA certification or currently pursuing
• Experience with modern accounting software and tools
• Familiarity with the creator economy or digital marketing landscape
