As a Risk Portfolio Management Specialist at OCBC, you'll play a critical role in shaping the bank's risk management strategy. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate risks that impact our business. How you succeed
To excel in this role, you'll need to stay ahead of the curve in risk management trends and best practices. You'll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and assess risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them. Your ability to analyze complex data, think critically, and communicate effectively will be essential in driving business outcomes.

What you do
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Prepare regular credit risk management reports, including portfolio analysis on trends, movements, variances, and key risk concerns

- Provide clear risk insights and recommendations to senior management to support informed business and risk decisions

- Monitor and analyse credit risk indicators to identify emerging risks and escalating concerns in the portfolio

- Support ad-hoc information requests and analyses from senior management, business units, and external stakeholders such as regulators, auditors, and rating agencies

- Assist in the preparation and implementation of new Pillar 3 Market Disclosure requirements, ensuring regulatory compliance and timely delivery

- Continuously improve existing risk reporting processes to enhance efficiency, robustness, data quality, and control frameworks

- Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements, supervisory expectations, and industry best practices in credit risk management and reporting

- Work closely with Risk, Finance, IT, and Business teams to ensure consistency and alignment of data, assumptions, and methodologies across reports

- Maintain comprehensive documentation of reporting processes, methodologies, and assumptions to support governance and audit requirements


Who you are
- A degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, finance or economics
- At least 3 years of experience in credit risk, portfolio monitoring, risk reporting, or regulatory reporting within a financial institution

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with good stakeholder management skills
- Proficient in programming languages/ dashboard tools such as Python, R, or SQL and Power BI

- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
