About the role

AGL has an exciting opportunity for an experienced high voltage project manager to join our Capital Projects Team at Bayswater Power Station on a 24-month Max Term Contract in the role of High Voltage Projects Coordinator, to lead the design, construction and commissioning works required to replace an existing 33kV switching station.

Location: this role is to be based on site at Bayswater Power Station in Muswellbrook, NSW working closely with project managers, engineers, contractors and operational teams to coordinate project activities that improve site reliability, safety and performance.

The role requires an Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent, 10 years project management experience and prior experience successfully delivering high voltage installations up to $50m in value.

What you will be doing

As the High Voltage Project Coordinator, you will be accountable for provide project management across multiple capital projects, ensuring HSE, cost, schedule and quality outcomes are achieved.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Coordinating project activities across engineering, fabrication, construction and commissioning phases
  • Controlling project schedules to ensure milestones, deliverables and deadlines are achieved
  • Maintaining project documentation including scope, schedules, risks, costs and project records
  • Controlling project expenditure and forecasts and providing monthly reporting requirements
  • Facilitating communication between stakeholders including operations, maintenance, engineering and contractors
  • Tracking project risks, issues and actions and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Undertaking procurement and contractor management processes throughout project delivery
  • Applying project management frameworks and governance requirements to ensure successful project outcomes

What you will bring

To succeed in this role, you'll be highly organised, proactive and capable of coordinating multiple workstreams while building strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • 10 years' experience in high voltage project management
  • Qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Demonstrated prior experience project managing the design, construction & commissioning of high voltage transmission installations
  • Demonstrated experience in completing project cost control, scheduling, reporting and document management
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience working with SAP, Microsoft Office and MS Project or similar project systems
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and commitment to delivering safe, high-quality outcomes
  • Experience working in a brownfield industrial, energy, manufacturing or heavy industry environment will be highly regarded
