About this Process Engineer (Manufacturing Engineer III) role at Regal Rexnord
SUMMARY
The position will be responsible for the manufacturing process design, process quality assurance and improvements with sustenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze, develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing operation sequences, specifications, and equipment, requirements for production/assembly of new and existing products
- Interpret product design requirement into manufacturing process specification
- Work with Cross functional Teams for New Product Introductions & problem solving
- Implementation of Poka Yoke for improving quality
- Identifying the root cause of the problems (Internal / External) and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
- Handling of Defective goods received from the customers (Preliminary testing and observation report).
- Troubleshoot manufacturing problems and implement sustainable corrective actions / design and implement SPC, poka-yoke and other process capability and problem solving and monitoring tools
- Responsible for implementing Manufacturing Flow Charts, Standard Work, procedures, Control Plans and FMEAs
- Proposing changes in Manufacturing Setup as well as designing new manufacturing lines
- Have sound operational knowledge of MSA, SPC, GD&T, Tolerance stack-up, Engineering Material properties, ergonomics & Poka-yokes etc.
Functional Competencies:
- Ability to conceptualize, design & development of efficient jigs, fixtures preferably with automation as feasible (Preferably Assembly tools | Spot Welding |Laser welding)
- Thorough understanding of GD&T, Tolerance stack-up, Engineering Material properties, DFM concepts, ergonomics & Poka-yokes while proposing any change in the manufacturing set-up as well as designing new manufacturing lines.
- Hands on experience of Process planning, Execution, Line balancing, Capacity Planning & Production Ramp- by Using Gnatt Chart/MS Projects
- Exposure in problems solving technique such as by implementing SPC, poka-yoke and other problem-solving tools (e.g. Six sigma)
- Exposure to welding technology, Pneumatic products based on the application and PLC Programs would be an added advantage.
- Hands on experience on making Part drawings| Assembly drawing| details drawing using software such as AutoCAD|3D Modelling such as Solid works/Creo.
- Knowledge and experience working on MS Office, MS Projects and Power BI
- Knowledge and Experience working on Industry 4.0 would be an added advantage
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/ Production engineering/Mechatronics/ Electrical / with 4+ years of work experience

PERSONAL TRAIT/PROFILE
- Ability to apply engineering and scientific principles and disciplines like Problem Analysis and Root Cause Corrective Action; Statistical Process Control; Design of Experiments; Process Validation, Facilities Layout and Process Design.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and be responsive to production's needs.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Fluency in oral and written English communication.
