We are looking for an experiencedย Polarion ALM Developerย to design, develop, configure, and maintain solutions within the Polarion Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) platform. The role requires strong hands-on expertise inย Polarion, ALM, Java, and APIs, along with the ability to understand business and engineering requirements and translate them into scalable ALM solutions.
You will work closely with engineering, product, quality, and project teams to improve lifecycle management processes, automate workflows, integrate Polarion with enterprise applications, and enhance overall development efficiency. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of software development and lifecycle processes and be comfortable working on customizations, integrations, scripting, and API-based solutions.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, customize, and maintainย Polarion ALMย solutions based on business and engineering requirements.
- Develop and enhance Polarion workflows, forms, templates, reports, dashboards, permissions, and lifecycle processes.
- Design and implement integrations between Polarion and other enterprise applications usingย REST APIs and related integration technologies.
- Develop custom solutions and extensions usingย Javaย and Polarion APIs.
- Analyze existing ALM processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, traceability, and collaboration.
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
- Support requirements management, change management, test management, defect tracking, and traceability processes within Polarion.
- Develop automation solutions to reduce manual activities and improve ALM process consistency.
- Troubleshoot application, workflow, integration, and performance-related issues.
- Perform testing, debugging, deployment, and maintenance of Polarion customizations and integrations.
- Maintain technical documentation for configurations, custom developments, integrations, and support procedures.
- Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, product, and project teams to ensure effective lifecycle management.
- Support upgrades, migrations, environment configuration, and ongoing optimization of Polarion implementations.
- Follow software engineering best practices, coding standards, version control, and documentation guidelines.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 4+ years of experience inย Polarion ALM development, customization, or administration.
- Strong hands-on experience withย Polarion ALMย and its configuration and customization capabilities.
- Good programming experience inย Java, with the ability to develop custom extensions and integrations.
- Strong understanding ofย REST APIs, web services, and system integration.
- Experience working with Polarion APIs and integrating Polarion with external applications.
- Understanding of requirements management, test management, defect management, workflows, and traceability.
- Experience with software development lifecycle processes and Agile methodologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Familiarity with databases, SQL, version control systems, and CI/CD environments is an advantage.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
