Key Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist, you will:

  • Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans designed to promote independence and functional recovery

  • Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions focused on ADLs, mobility, safety, and quality of life

  • Supervise and provide clinical guidance to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)

  • Monitor resident progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate

  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation professionals, and other interdisciplinary team members

  • Participate in care planning meetings, utilization reviews, and discharge planning

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation

  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding treatment strategies, home safety, and adaptive equipment

  • Provide caregiver training and support successful transitions to home or the next level of care

Qualifications

  • Current and active California Occupational Therapist (OT) license

  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment-planning skills

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills

  • Commitment to compassionate, resident-centered care

  • Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team

  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
