Job Description:

The Marketing Supervisor leads profitable growth of products and services, product enhancements, and strategic and tactical marketing programs and initiatives. He/She aligns marketing priorities and initiatives with Sales and Product Team, collaborates with the Sales team and Product Team interacts with customers to develop product improvements and enhancements, and develops and enhances competitive solutions for customers. He/She develops, implements, and leads marketing strategy and programs for specified products and services.

Key responsibilities:

Support the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Department, Country Teams, and Sales to:

  • Lead revenue optimization and profitability initiatives across freight forwarding products by developing pricing strategies, managing yield performance, conducting customer and lane profitability analysis, monitoring market and competitive trends, delivering revenue forecasts and financial insights, maintaining reporting and data governance processes, and partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Commercial teams to drive sustainable profitable growth.
  • Manage and optimize the UPS Forwarding Hub by driving revenue and yield management initiatives, supporting product development, identifying growth opportunities, and designing targeted commercial campaigns to increase revenue, profitability, and market penetration.
  • Develops product marketing plan and strategy to gain market share and revenue.
  • Researches the market (e.g., trends, competition, industry, etc.) to forecast market opportunities, understand competition, support product success, and grow revenue.
  • Analyzes and interprets research market data to determine and develop product positioning statements and value propositions and to increase UPS's competitive edge.
  • Implements product strategy and manages tactical operations of the marketing plan to attain projected revenues and to penetrate pre-determined markets.
  • Measures, analyzes, and reports feedback on marketing efforts (e.g., direct mail, databases, etc.) to determine product success and enhancements, to develop directional data, and to drive revenue.
  • Collaborates with Customer Communications to develop collateral for internal and external audiences.
  • Provides customer databases to the Sales force to define selection of appropriate databases, sales channels, and revenue opportunities.
  • Develops cross-selling opportunities to ensure products are included across UPS solutions, to manage and maintain relationships within UPS, and to inform and educate audiences.
  • Prepares Business Plan, monitors and reports performance of marketing initiatives to senior management to explain any variance to plan and outline key learnings or issue.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, ideally for an international company
  • Excellent command of English language, with strong writing and editing skills.
  • Organized and able to work on a variety of projects with tight deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to build positive working relationships with colleagues in different departments
  • Creative and able to craft messaging and visuals for specific audiences, considering their needs and preferences
  • Analytical, able to conduct own research
  • Proactive and eager to learn
  • Attention to detail, as well as being able to understand the big picture
  • SQL, Power BI and Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint) skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing
