Role summary:

  • The Marketing Executive supports the planning and execution of marketing activities that strengthen ROCKWOOL’s brand, customer engagement and business growth in Malaysia and assigned regional markets.
  • The role works closely with Marketing, Business Development, Sales, Technical and Specification teams to deliver integrated campaigns, events, digital content, market communications and lead-generation activities aligned with business priorities.
  • The Marketing Executive coordinates internal and external marketing deliverables, including agencies, vendors, industry partners and event organisers, to ensure activities are executed professionally, on time and within budget.
  • The role also supports market intelligence, campaign reporting, customer communications and sustainability-related marketing initiatives to reinforce ROCKWOOL’s position as a leading provider of sustainable stone wool solutions.

General responsibilities and activities include, but is not limited to:  

  • Support the development and execution of the annual marketing plan in line with business and commercial priorities.
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns, customer events, seminars, exhibitions, industry engagements and product launches from planning through post-event follow-up.
  • Create and coordinate marketing content across digital, social media, email, presentation and printed channels while ensuring consistency with ROCKWOOL brand guidelines.
  • Work closely with Sales, Business Development, Technical and Specification teams to develop marketing activities that support customer engagement, project opportunities and lead generation.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, competitor activities and industry developments, and provide regular market insights to the Marketing Manager and relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain marketing databases, campaign records, event participation, leads and performance reports to support effective follow-up and measurement of marketing effectiveness.
  • Coordinate external agencies, designers, printers, event organisers and other vendors to ensure quality, cost and timeline requirements are met.
  • Support sustainability, circularity, corporate communication and industry partnership initiatives that strengthen ROCKWOOL’s market positioning and reputation.

Key responsibilities and activities include, but is not limited to:  

  • Execute marketing campaigns and activities according to the agreed marketing calendar and business priorities.
  • Coordinate seminars, CPD programmes, exhibitions, customer events, industry conferences and stakeholder engagements, including invitations, logistics, materials and follow-up.
  • Develop and adapt marketing content such as brochures, presentations, case studies, emailers, social media posts, digital assets and customer communications.
  • Manage day-to-day updates for relevant digital and social media channels in coordination with internal stakeholders and regional/global marketing teams.
  • Support lead-generation activities and ensure marketing-generated leads are captured, distributed and tracked for commercial follow-up.
  • Collect and analyse basic campaign, digital, event and customer engagement data and prepare regular performance reports.
  • Conduct market and competitor research to support positioning, campaign planning, product launches and business development initiatives.
  • Coordinate the production and inventory of marketing materials, samples, displays, giveaways and event collateral.
  • Support product launches and new-market initiatives by coordinating communications, marketing materials and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Ensure all marketing materials comply with ROCKWOOL brand guidelines, product claims, sustainability requirements and relevant approval processes.
  • Coordinate purchase requests, quotations, vendor documentation and marketing expenditure tracking in accordance with company procedures and approved budgets.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, customers, agencies, industry associations and external partners.
  • Undertake other marketing and business support activities assigned by the Marketing Manager in support of departmental and company objectives.

Requirements (Essential)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Digital Marketing or a related discipline. 
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, events, digital marketing or a related commercial function. 
  • Hands-on experience in coordinating marketing campaigns, events, seminars, exhibitions or customer engagement activities. 
  • Good writing and content-development skills for presentations, email campaigns, social media and marketing materials. 
  • Familiarity with digital and social media platforms and basic digital performance metrics. 
  • Ability to conduct market and competitor research and prepare clear summaries and reports. 
  • Strong coordination and project-management skills with good attention to detail. 
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Excel and Word. 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. 
  • Willingness to travel as required. 

Requirements (Desirable)

  • Experience in the construction, building materials, insulation, manufacturing or B2B industry. 
  • Experience with CRM, email marketing, marketing automation, website CMS or social media management tools. 
  • Basic capability in graphic design or content-creation tools such as Canva or Adobe applications. 
  • Experience supporting industry associations, professional bodies, government engagement or corporate events. Understanding of sustainability, green buildings, energy efficiency, circular economy or ESG-related communications. 
  • Experience working in a multinational or matrix organisation. 
  • Familiarity with marketing analytics, lead tracking and campaign performance reporting. 
  • Ability to communicate in an additional regional language is an advantage.
