The Opportunity:

We’re looking to fill an opening for Manager, Technology Application Support to join our Technology Support Services team.

Reporting to the Director, Technology Support Services the Manager, Technology Application Support is responsible for leading and managing a team of IT professionals who provide technical support and maintenance for the company's application systems. This role is responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and stability of business applications while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and meeting service level agreements (SLAs).

What your day looks like:

  • Manage and lead a team of IT professionals responsible for application support, maintenance, and monitoring
  • Develop and implement strategies for the effective use of applications, systems, and data to support business goals
  • Ensure that all application support requests are addressed in a timely and effective manner and are properly documented
  • Work with application development teams to ensure proper system design and implementation, ensuring that applications are supportable and meet business requirements
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and best practices for application support and maintenance
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of new applications and technology solutions, and assist in the implementation of these solutions
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure effective support and maintenance of systems and applications
  • Work with the IT leadership team to develop and manage the departmental budget
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to measure the effectiveness of application support and maintenance services
  • Mentor and develop team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide effective application support and maintenance services
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their business needs and ensure that service delivery meets their expectations
  • Hire, train, and develop team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide effective service delivery

Requirements

Your experience and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in IT application support or related field
  • 3+ years of experience anaging and leading teams of IT professionals
  • Knowledge of ITIL and service management best practices
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset

Salary

This position is posted with an expected salary range of $110,000 - $122,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
