Lead Deployment Analyst / Manager – Osprey Japan

Department: S/4HANA Deployment Finance / Osprey Deployment
Reporting To: Deployment Finance Leadership / Osprey Program Leadership
Role Type: Full-time Lead Deployment Analyst / Deployment Manager
Scope: End-to-end Osprey Japan deployment readiness, execution, go-live support, stabilization, and transition to run

Role Summary

The Lead Deployment Analyst / Manager will play a full-time leadership role in driving Osprey Japan deployment readiness and execution, partnering closely with Finance, BUF, FP&A, IT, Procurement, Supply Chain, regional deployment teams, global process owners, and local Japan business stakeholders. This role is accountable for translating program direction into executable plans, driving disciplined governance, resolving cross-functional blockers, and ensuring clear ownership across the deployment lifecycle.

The successful candidate will lead the collection, analysis, and management of deployment readiness metrics; monitor milestone completion; identify risks, gaps, and dependencies; and coordinate execution across User Access Management (UAM), process readiness, training readiness, cutover preparation, hypercare, hyperclose, and transition-to-run activities.

Key Responsibilities

Deployment Readiness Tracking

  • Lead tracking and governance of key Osprey Japan deployment milestones, deliverables, and readiness checkpoints across the deployment timeline.
  • Consolidate readiness inputs across workstreams and convert them into clear insights, actions, risks, and decisions for deployment leadership.
  • Own and maintain deployment trackers, status reports, readiness dashboards, and integrated action logs.
  • Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, dependencies, and decision points that may impact Japan deployment readiness and execution.

User Access Management (UAM) Support

  • Lead coordination of UAM readiness activities across business users, local Japan teams, deployment teams, and global support functions.
  • Drive tracking of user role mapping, access requests, approvals, provisioning completion, and readiness sign-off.
  • Monitor UAM readiness metrics, highlight gaps, and escalate delays or risks requiring leadership attention.
  • Partner with relevant teams to validate completion of user access activities ahead of testing, cutover, and go-live milestones.

Process Placement and Business Readiness

  • Lead assessment and tracking of process placement, process ownership, and business readiness across Japan Finance and cross-functional teams.
  • Work with deployment stakeholders to clarify process impacts, readiness requirements, local adoption needs, and open decisions.
  • Drive monitoring of business readiness activities, ensuring actions are documented, owned, and progressed in line with deployment milestones.
  • Identify areas requiring additional support, leadership intervention, training reinforcement, or process clarification.

Training Readiness

  • Lead tracking of training plans, completion progress, attendance, participation, and readiness indicators for impacted Japan users.
  • Monitor training readiness milestones and partner with workstream leads to resolve gaps in participation or understanding.
  • Prepare and consolidate training readiness reports for deployment governance, leadership updates, and local stakeholder discussions.
  • Identify user groups requiring additional enablement, reinforcement sessions, or targeted communications before go-live.

Hypercare & Hyperclose Readiness

  • Lead readiness planning and governance for hypercare, hyperclose, and transition-to-run activities following Osprey Japan go-live.
  • Track completion of prerequisite activities required for go-live support, issue triage, escalation pathways, and business stabilization.
  • Coordinate issue management, escalation tracking, resolution progress, and leadership reporting during hypercare.
  • Drive reporting on stabilization metrics, post-deployment risks, lessons learned, and readiness for handover to run teams.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement in deployment tracking, governance routines, readiness reporting, and decision escalation processes.
  • Standardize deployment monitoring tools, templates, dashboards, and action management practices for Osprey Japan.
  • Capture lessons learned and translate them into practical improvements for future Osprey deployment waves and Japan stabilization activities.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Project Management, Information Systems, Accounting, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading project coordination, deployment readiness, PMO, transformation, or business readiness activities.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex information into actionable plans.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams, stakeholders, actions, and deadlines in a fast-paced deployment environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and project tracking or reporting tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, follow-through, and ownership of deliverables.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear leadership updates and escalate risks constructively.

Preferred

  • Experience with SAP, S/4HANA, ERP deployments, finance transformation, or large-scale business transformation programs.
  • Experience supporting or leading deployment lifecycle activities, including training, UAM, cutover, hypercare, hyperclose, and transition to run.
  • Familiarity with Japan business, finance, or deployment environments, including cross-cultural stakeholder coordination.
  • Experience using reporting and project tracking tools such as Power BI, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, SharePoint, or similar platforms.

Role Impact and Growth Opportunities

In this full-time role, the employee will:

  • Take a visible leadership role in an enterprise-wide S/4HANA transformation program.
  • Build deep expertise in deployment planning, readiness governance, stakeholder alignment, and execution discipline.
  • Strengthen understanding of how major ERP deployments are led from preparation through go-live, stabilization, and transition to run.
  • Develop practical experience across User Access Management, business process readiness, training deployment, cutover, hypercare, and hyperclose operations.
  • Strengthen leadership, analytical, project management, communication, and transformation delivery capabilities in a complex regional deployment environment.

Success Measures

  • Clear ownership and timely delivery of Osprey Japan deployment milestones, readiness activities, and integrated action plans.
  • Effective governance and reporting of UAM, training, process placement, cutover readiness, hypercare, hyperclose, and transition-to-run activities.
  • Early identification, escalation, and resolution support for deployment risks, gaps, dependencies, and decision points.
  • High-quality deployment documentation, leadership updates, action logs, dashboards, and status trackers.
  • Positive feedback from Deployment Finance leadership, Osprey program leadership, Japan business stakeholders, and deployment workstream leads.
