About this Java Backend Developer role at Uni Systems

At UniSystems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Backend Developer to join our UniQue team.
What will you be doing in this role:
- Implement new features while maintaining and optimizing the existing project.
- Design and implement integrations between microservices.
- Build RESTful APIs to support frontend applications.
- Work closely with the team in an Agile/Scrum environment to develop new features and find solutions to existing issues.
- Create Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to accommodate new design changes.
- Assist with application deployments to production and provide technical support to application clients.
Requirements
What will you be bringing to the team?
- Master's degree in IT with minimum 4 years of relevant experience (or Bachelor's degree and minimum of 7 years relevant experience).
- Strong experience with Java, with a solid understanding of software development principles.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
- Good knowledge and practical experience with Web Services and REST APIs.
- Experience working with Oracle Database and PL/SQL.
- Strong understanding and application of software development best practices.
- Experience with unit testing and integration testing.
- Good knowledge of Relational DBMS.
- Good knowledge of business process analysis.
- Knowledge of interoperability technology (web services, message oriented middleware, service oriented bus, event architecture).
- Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git or SVN.
