Human Resources Coordinator

Location: Blue Moon Metals, Corporate office, Toronto ON

Duration:  Full-Time, Hybrid

 

Position Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to corporate Human Resources function for a global mining company. This role supports employee lifecycle administration, executive and corporate office HR coordination, international workforce data management, recruitment and onboarding support, HR reporting, policy administration, and employee communications. The position also supports the implementation, maintenance, data integrity, and ongoing optimization of SAP SuccessFactors and related HR systems, while helping ensure compliance with applicable employment legislation, corporate governance standards, internal controls, and company policies across jurisdictions.

 

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources Administration

  • Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle activities for employees, contractors, consultants, and temporary personnel.
  • Prepare employment agreements, HR correspondence, personnel files, and employment documentation.
  • Support SAP SuccessFactors implementation activities, including data preparation, testing, issue tracking, user acceptance support, process documentation, training coordination, and post-implementation maintenance.
  • Assist in preparing management presentations and board materials, including the drafting of minutes and resolutions.
  • Maintain SAP SuccessFactors, HRIS records, employee data, organizational charts, position data, and workforce reports, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and timely updates.
  • Support annual work flows, including budgeting, performance management and compensation cycle.
  • Support recruitment activities, including interview scheduling, candidate communications, reference checks, and onboarding.
  • Administer employee benefits, workers compensation, insurance, payroll support, and respond to employee inquiries.
  • Assist with corporate workforce planning administration, meeting coordination, mobility logistics, and cross-functional HR support for corporate and global business teams.
  • Coordinate meetings, training sessions, employee events, and engagement initiatives.
  • Support corporate recruitment activities, candidate coordination, employer branding, university and professional partnerships, and global talent acquisition initiatives.
  • Assist with the implementation and administration of HR policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Office Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of HR administration or HR coordination experience.
  • Experience in mining, construction, industrial, manufacturing, engineering, or other project-based environments is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Canadian employment legislation, corporate HR practices, and the ability to coordinate with local advisors on employment requirements in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors, HRIS administration, payroll interfaces, Microsoft Office, and HR reporting tools is preferred.
  • Experience supporting HR system implementations, data migration, user testing, change management, or system maintenance is an asset.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without the requirement of employer sponsorship now nor in the future.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP SuccessFactors, HR information systems, reporting tools, and employee data management processes.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.

Working Conditions

  • Corporate headquarters-based position with regular interaction with leadership, corporate functions, mining site teams, and employees across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Occasional flexibility required to support global HR projects, system implementation milestones, recruitment activities, onboarding, employee events, and time-zone coordination.
