About the Role

As a Lead Generator, you’ll research potential customers, determine whether they genuinely fit our target profile, and execute outbound outreach through email and LinkedIn. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who enjoys investigating companies, finding the right contacts, writing clear messages, and following through consistently.

You’ll receive training, but the goal is for you to become increasingly independent and take ownership of your prospecting workflow. Over time, there may be opportunities to expand into areas such as campaign management or automation, but the immediate priority is excellent prospect research and outreach execution.

Responsibilities

• Research companies individually to determine whether they match the target customer profile.
• Identify relevant prospects and build accurate lead lists rather than relying only on prebuilt databases.
• Research company websites, LinkedIn profiles, prospecting platforms, and other sources to validate potential opportunities.
• Execute personalized outbound outreach through email and LinkedIn.
• Manage prospect responses and follow-ups so promising conversations do not fall through the cracks.
• Investigate alternative contact information when emails bounce or prospect details are incomplete.
• Review prospect and contact information carefully before outreach to maintain a high standard of accuracy.
• Keep prospecting and outreach records organized, complete, and up to date.
• Use AI tools where helpful while applying your own judgment to ensure messages sound natural and professional.
• Build enough knowledge of the target market to make increasingly independent prospecting decisions.

Requirements

Must-Have:

• Hands-on experience researching and identifying prospects yourself, not only contacting leads from lists provided to you.
• Experience with outbound prospect communication through email, LinkedIn, or similar channels.
• Strong written English and the ability to write clear, natural, grammatically correct prospect messages.
• Ability to research companies individually and judge whether they fit a defined target profile.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing company, contact, and outreach information.
• Resourcefulness when information is missing, inaccurate, or difficult to find.
• Comfort with consistent, execution-heavy work involving research, outreach, follow-ups, and data maintenance.

Nice to Have:

• Experience prospecting for SaaS, technology, fintech, lending, or B2B companies.
• Familiarity with LinkedIn and common prospecting or lead research tools.
• Experience working directly with a founder or within a small, growing company.
• Interest in eventually learning campaign management, automation, or broader go-to-market operations.
