Job Description:

The Role: Engineering Technician

The Engineering Technician is responsible for overseeing the setup of all assembly manufacturing equipment, including those used for new product transfers. This role supports the qualification of new manufacturing processes, assembly tools, and the development of troubleshooting plans to ensure smooth and efficient production operations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist Manufacturing Engineers in planning, developing, and implementing methods, processes, and automation techniques for both new and existing products

  • Develop process control systems and establish good manufacturing practices for assembly operations.

  • Participate directly in solving technical issues and debugging products or processes, applying Six Sigma tools and the DMAIC methodology.

  • Create documentation for working instructions, quality alert, & troubleshooting guides for vision fine tunings

  • Assist ME in trouble shooting process issues contributing to Low 1st Pass yield and reporting in the shift

  • Support manufacturing process development and automation projects, including the design and development of new jigs and fixtures.

  • Assist ME in performing assigned manufacturing assembly tasks related to CAR & engineering runs

  • Involve in manufacturing process development/automation and assembly process monitoring for engineering runs, NON-POR build, critical workstations & assembly compliances

  • Conduct the NON- POR Assembly training based on checklist for Supervisor and operators.

  • Perform SAP GLM Label setup for new released part number before assembly run

  • Carry out tasks pertaining to product failure analysis for documentation and reporting purposes

  • Conduct operational training for Assembly Supervisors and operators.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We Seek:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Machining, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with exposure to process assembly steps, automation assembly program fine tunings, MES WIP process trouble shooting, analytical skill in reporting CA/PA, etc.

  • Strong knowledge of assembly processes and mechanical design.

  • Ability to understand and execute task accordingly

  • Ability to set up and operate assembly equipment.

  • Good understanding of jig and fixture design.

  • Experience with Process FMEA and Control Plans.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Self‑motivated, self‑directed, and people‑oriented.

  • Demonstrated keen interest in manufacturing process flow.
