Provide support on a broad range of technical projects within the TDI Air Starters Team 

In this role, you will interact with a group of engineers with sound technical expertise in the area of Turbomachinery to solve some of the challenges that are present in our industrial commercial platforms. 

Essential Responsibilities 

 - Provide technical assistance to other engineers assigned to support different legacy programs. 

- Document technical data generated to substantiate the analytical results consistent with engineering policies and procedures. 

- Execute with extensive guidance Finite Element structural analyses of air starters meeting business standards, practices, and program requirements. 

- Get a full understanding of the air starters and the physics behind them, as you might be part of an effort to optimize the product through continuous improvement and cost reduction projects. 

- Participate as presenter of project status 

- Solve problems of limited scope and complexity regarding product performance and definition of different air starters families. 

- Analyze test data and reach conclusions and engineering recommendations. 

- Prepare engineering changes, presentations, and technical documentation to support technical discussions. 

- Ensure full compliance with business standards, practices, and procedures. 

 

Qualifications / Requirements 

 - Must be actively enrolled in a university within a minimum period of 1 year of remaining classes before graduating. 

- BS Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering student or similar background 

- 30 to 40 available hours per week  

- Basic knowledge of Turbomachinery and Rotating machinery. 

- Mechanical analysis skills. 

- Programming skills 

- Demonstrated interpersonal skills. 

- Fundamental understanding of the design, test and analysis tools relevant to the function. 

- Proficiency in English language communication 

 

Desired Characteristics 

 - Knowledgeable in NX Unigraphics, ANSYS, or similar design software 

- Knowledgeable in Electrical Machines 

- Knowledgeable in Rotating Machinery and Turbomachinery 

- Knowledge in, C Sharp, Python coding v3 or superior
