The Senior Physical Security Manager (SPSM) will be an active member of the GE Aerospace (GEA) Global Security team. Reporting to the Senior Physical Security Director, the SPSM will assist in the development and implementation of security requirements, policies, standards, and physical security management systems. In this role, you will support the physical security team and manage various physical security fundamentals for GEA. This includes contributing to a comprehensive security program while ensuring compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements. Additionally, you will help reduce risk to the organization and ensure the safety and protection of employees, customers, visitors, and company assets.

This role sits within GE Aerospace Global Security and is based on-site in Evendale, Ohio. The Global Security team partners across the enterprise to maintain high standards of physical security across facilities worldwide—protecting employees, customers, visitors, and company assets while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and legislative requirements.

Role Overview

The Senior Physical Security Manager (SPSM) is an active member of the GE Aerospace Global Security team. Reporting to the Senior Physical Security Director, the SPSM supports the development and implementation of security requirements, policies, standards, and physical security management systems.

In this role, you will help lead and mature physical security fundamentals across GE Aerospace, contributing to a comprehensive security program, reducing risk to the organization, and supporting safe, compliant operations across a global footprint—including secured and classified environments.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Physical Security Execution: Support the physical security team in maintaining high standards of physical security across multiple facilities worldwide. Projects, Guarding, Systems & Badging: Assist in executing physical security projects, contract guard services, enterprise security systems, and badging operations. Standards and Playbooks: Help develop and maintain physical security standards, playbooks, guidelines, and management systems to enable consistent execution across sites. Regulatory and Customer Compliance: Ensure physical security and facility buildout specifications meet requirements aligned to business policies and applicable frameworks (including Department of Defense requirements and CMMC). Secured and Classified Spaces: Support the design, implementation, construction, and oversight of secured and classified spaces, including the associated physical protection measures. External Partner Management: Interact with and maintain relationships with external partners including security integrators and vendors. Security Systems and Controls: Support development and reliability of physical security controls including access control, perimeter protections, surveillance (CCTV), intrusion detection, and alarm systems. Risk Assessment & Layered Protection: Assess physical security risks and support development of layered security solutions to protect personnel, facilities, information, and critical assets. Program Reporting & Financial Discipline: Prepare reporting to track project objectives and budgets; escalate issues and propose solutions to challenges. Global Collaboration: Work effectively across multiple cultures and time zones to coordinate program execution and stakeholder alignment.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent advanced degree
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in physical security, industrial security, or closely related roles
  • Secured/Classified Space Experience: Demonstrated experience in the design, implementation, construction, and oversight of secured and classified spaces, including associated physical protection measures
  • Physical Security Systems Expertise: Hands-on experience in:

    Access control systems for facilities, campuses, and restricted areas

    Perimeter and outer physical security (barriers, gates, fencing, entry controls)

    Surveillance systems (CCTV/video monitoring and recording)

    Intrusion detection and alarm systems

    Guard force operations (post management and coordination with contract or proprietary guard services)

  • Risk Assessment: Experience assessing physical security risks and developing layered security solutions
  • Communication & Leadership: Strong English oral/written communication skills; strong interpersonal, judgment, and leadership skills with experience leading complex programs/projects
  • Tools: Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related tools
  • Global Effectiveness: Ability to work effectively across multiple cultures and time zones
  • Travel: Occasional domestic and international travel may be required
  • Clearance: Have or ability to obtain an active U.S. DoD Security Clearance
