  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis across PLCs, SCADA/DCS, HMIs, VSDs, MCCs, switchgear, transformers, generators, and high-voltage equipment.

  • Support automation across raw milk reception, cheese and mozzarella manufacture, filtration, spray drying, and utilities (boilers, CHP, refrigeration, water treatment).

  • Lead the electrical and automation scope of capital projects - specs, vendor management, FAT/SAT, commissioning.

  • Drive improvements in safety, quality, reliability, throughput, yield, and energy efficiency.

  • Keep engineering documentation current - P&IDs, FDS, electrical schematics, software backups.

  • Ensure systems meet food safety and regulatory standards, including CCP validation and data integrity.

  • Build strong working relationships with automation suppliers, OEMs, integrators, and internal teams across Operations, Quality, Engineering, and IT.

  • Mentor and coach engineers, electricians, and technicians.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Instrumentation or Electrical Technician (Trade Certificate).

  • 10+ years' experience in electrical and automation engineering within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong expertise in PLC, SCADA, DCS, and HMI platforms (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, or similar).

  • Proven experience with industrial automation and high-voltage electrical systems.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in dairy or food & beverage manufacturing.

  • Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Systems, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience leading capital project commissioning and start-up.
