Overview

As a Digital Transformation & System Control Engineer, you will play a critical leadership role in shaping the future manufacturing ecosystem within HP Singapore's G5 MEMS Manufacturing Operations.

You will be responsible for leading strategy, governance, reliability, and continuous advancement of factory systems infrastructure while driving digital transformation initiatives across manufacturing operations. This includes operational responsibility of factory systems architecture, Digital Twin development and deployment, workforce transformation, and cross-functional digitalization programs that improve operational efficiency, productivity and quality. You will collaborate with business, engineering, operations, and IT stakeholders across global sites to accelerate the adoption of data-driven operations, automation, digital technologies, and AI-enabled manufacturing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

G5 Factory Systems Leadership & Governance

  • Lead and drive the strategy, implementation, support, and continuous improvement of G5 manufacturing factory systems and related IT infrastructure.
  • Ensure high availability, cybersecurity compliance, scalability, and operational reliability of manufacturing systems supporting business operations.
  • Partner with Worldwide Factories, IT, Program Teams, and Manufacturing Operations to align system architecture and technology roadmaps.
  • Lead system modernization initiatives and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through technology enablement.

Digital Transformation & Smart Manufacturing

  • Establish digital transformation roadmaps that deliver measurable business value in cost, productivity, quality, yield, and cycle-time improvements.
  • Champion Industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing initiatives including digital workflow integration, productivity improvement solutions and workforce transformation.

Digital Twin Program Management

  • Program Manager for Fab Digital Twin implementation aimed at creating a connected, data-driven, and intelligent virtual environment to increase factory productivity and efficiency.
  • Manage project scope, execution plans, resource needs, and deployment strategies, ensuring business requirements are met as outcome.
  • Drive project governance, risk management, change management, and executive stakeholder communications.
  • Understands, articulates, and optimizes application and technical capabilities for use by multiple WorkCentres.
  • Exerts influence beyond the immediate team; demonstrates business acumen and applies it for effective business engagement with internal customers and third-party solution provider.

Education & Experience

Required Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Manufacturing Engineering, or related disciplines.

Required Experience

  • Significant experience managing complex manufacturing systems, factory automation platforms, and enterprise IT environments.
  • Proven experience leading digital transformation programs within manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering business outcomes through digitalization, automation, analytics, and technology-enabled process transformation.
  • Experience driving large cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, organizations, and global teams.
  • Strong understanding of system governance frameworks, change management, and program management principles.
  • Experience deploying data-driven operational systems, analytics platforms, automation solutions, or AI-enabled applications is highly desirable.

Preferred Knowledge & Skills

Technical Expertise

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing execution systems (MES), factory systems, shop-floor automation, and industrial networking.
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies, Digital Twin concepts, Smart Manufacturing architectures, and connected factory ecosystems.
  • Understanding of manufacturing data flows, system integration, and operational technology environments.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity practices supporting manufacturing operations.
  • TiJ 5 platform knowledge and experience are an advantage.
