Summary:
This is an offshore-based, senior techno-functional role for someone ready to be a key contributor from day one. We're looking for a consultant with deep, ready-to-apply expertise in Oracle R12 and Oracle Fusion Cloud AR/AP — including intercompany transactions and their tax implications — who can pick up e-Invoicing quickly and start adding real value on live client projects right away.
Our onshore team is looking for a partner who adds immediate delivery value from day one — someone whose Oracle and tax-process depth lets them step into live project work quickly and contribute as a peer, not a trainee. Working hours align to the candidate's local time zone, with roughly one hour of overlap at the start or end of the day to hand off cleanly with the onshore team early on — with flexibility to adjust that overlap as comfort and independence grow. You'll work alongside the onshore team on initial projects to build shared context quickly, then take ownership of your own workstreams as that context builds. Over time, scope is expected to grow beyond e-Invoicing into the broader tax calculation and compliance suite.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to e-Invoicing delivery within Oracle R12 and Oracle Fusion Cloud environments as a hands-on team member from day one, growing into ownership of full workstreams as project context builds.
Apply hands-on Oracle AR and AP process expertise — including intercompany transactions and their tax impacts — to solution design and issue resolution, bringing real depth the team can rely on quickly.
Extend the team's delivery coverage across time zones, progressing project work during offshore hours so onshore colleagues return to work with momentum already built.
Maintain roughly one hour of daily overlap with the onshore team (at the start or end of the workday) for handoffs, quick syncs, and blocker resolution.
Work alongside the onshore team on initial projects to build shared context efficiently, then grow into independently owned workstreams.
Exercise sound technical judgment on design decisions, partnering with onshore leads on anything that needs broader input or client-level sign-off.
Configure and unit test e-Invoicing within Oracle host systems, and configure Oracle-side integrations to support seamless connectivity.
Design and execute test scenarios, troubleshooting and Oracle issues with the depth to resolve most independently and the judgment to flag what needs a second set of eyes.
Document decisions, testing outcomes, and open issues clearly and proactively, so async handoffs require minimal back-and-forth.
Communicate project status and technical tradeoffs clearly to onshore leads and, where appropriate, client stakeholders.
As the role matures, extend scope beyond e-Invoicing into related tax calculation and compliance offerings.
Help build out the offshore practice itself: contribute to the framework, standards, and delivery playbook needed to hire and onboard junior offshore resources as the team grows in this region.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience in tax technology, ERP implementation, or financial systems consulting.
Required: hands-on experience with Oracle R12 AR and AP and Oracle Fusion Cloud AR and AP — not preferred, required. This role needs someone who can contribute to live projects quickly, without a long learning curve on the ERP itself.
Demonstrated, applied understanding of intercompany transaction flows and their related tax treatment across AR and AP — able to speak to real project examples.
Strong track record of owning client delivery work with sound independent judgment, balanced with knowing when to loop in the team.
Excellent asynchronous communication and documentation habits — comfortable driving work forward during hours when the onshore team is offline.
Prior experience in an offshore or distributed delivery model, ideally supporting onshore U.S.-based teams or clients.
Working knowledge of e-Invoicing regulations, tax compliance requirements, and financial process best practices (can be built on the job, but foundational awareness expected).
Solid understanding of API technologies and integration patterns between ERP and third-party tax platforms.
A growth mindset — genuine interest in expanding from e-Invoicing into the broader tax calculation and compliance space over time.
Interest and aptitude in building team capability — prior experience mentoring, training, or standing up a team or delivery function is a strong plus.
Why This Role
This role is one of our most senior individual-contributor positions — Consulting IV sits just below Principal Consultant, our highest individual-contributor tier. It's built for someone who wants real ownership from day one, not a supporting-hours position. Beyond the individual-contributor track, this role carries a rare stretch opportunity: helping build the offshore practice's hiring framework and delivery standards positions you to grow into a people-leadership capacity for the region as the team scales — not a guaranteed structure today, but a meaningful path for the right person. You'll also have a clear track to expand your scope from e-Invoicing into the full tax compliance ecosystem as the practice grows.
