We’re looking for a detail-oriented and organized Credentialing Specialist to join our team!

Reporting to the Credentialing Manager, the Credentialing Specialist is responsible for supporting all aspects of the credentialing and state licensing processes for our Medical Team, including Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses. This role works closely with the Credentialing Manager and Credentialing Lead to maintain accurate and up-to-date provider credentials, support licensing initiatives, ensure ongoing compliance with applicable requirements, and contribute to the successful implementation of departmental goals and initiatives.

Responsibilities & Duties 

● Onboard and maintain credentialing of providers with state boards

● Manage and review credentialing files on credentialing platform for accuracy and completeness

● Perform primary source verifications via various state and national sources

● Obtain new and renewed state licenses for providers

● Participate in the development of internal credentialing processes

● Ensure compliance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, regulations, procedures, and policies

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

● 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in credentialing

● Knowledge of credentialing principles, best practices, and medical terminology

● Ability to manage multiple projects and heavy workload simultaneously with a positive attitude

● Excellent attention to detail and time management skills

● Flexible and adaptable to changes/challenges

● People-oriented and collaborative

● Skill in establishing priorities with independent coordination of day-to-day aspects

● Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in all communications on behalf of credentialing applicants and/or applications

● Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
