The role
We are searching for a Working Student! In your role, you actively support the Corporate Venturing Unit (CVU) in scouting, investing and growing highly innovative startups and scale-ups. You will be part of a small specialized team, reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Venturing. With the team, you are responsible for evaluation, selection and execution of startup investment opportunities. Do you want to work for a large corporate at the start of an era of change? Do you want to improve processes, analyze start-ups and be the gatekeeper for collaborations with new startups that we can invest in? Key accountabilities
In your role you will be supporting in performing market studies, technology scouting, investment analysis support and portfolio growth support.
In addition to the above described main tasks, you are actively involved in:
- Researching market and technology trends together with the Investments and Technology analysts;
- Supporting and managing internal information and tracking systems;
- Support in internal and external communications;
- Coordinate together with the team the new opportunities and start-ups that help Damen to create new value chains.
Skills & Experience
At least several skills/experiences from the following list are required to be considered:
- You are a MSc Student in the field of Business Administration, Business Economics, Technical Business Studies or a Technical related studies;
- You are interested in the Maritime sector, either by experience or by personal interest;
- Interested in innovation, corporate venturing, not afraid of a little bit of number crunching and curious by nature;
- Experience with venture capital, startup scouting, financial modelling and valuations is a pre;
- You are available at the earliest convenience, for at least six months
