What You’ll Do
As a Dermatology Medical Assistant, you will work closely with our providers and play an essential role in delivering excellent patient care while keeping the practice running smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing patients for examinations by recording vital signs and medical histories
- Assisting providers during examinations and procedures
- Preparing instruments, equipment, and procedure rooms
- Conducting basic laboratory tests and handling specimens for analysis
- Maintaining accurate, confidential patient records
- Coordinating patient scheduling and office communications
- Educating patients about treatments, medications, and appropriate skincare
- Keeping examination rooms clean, organized, and fully stocked

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Understanding of medical terminology, especially in dermatology.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with patients and staff.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and basic office applications is a plus.
