Years of experience, hard-won commercial instinct, and the confidence to back your own view - this role is built for people who bring all three. As a Senior Manager or Director in Deals Transaction Services at PwC, you'll bring your financial due diligence expertise and digital fluency to shape the most significant transactions in financial services, based in Sydney / Gadigal. You'll work alongside private equity and infrastructure investors, ASX-listed institutions and large private businesses across banking, insurance, wealth, superannuation and fintech, uncovering the financial DNA of targets and influencing strategy on both buy-side and sell-side engagements.

What you'll do

• Lead complex, commercially focused financial due diligence on financial services transactions, producing insights that shape major deals and maximise value for clients
• Oversee buy-side and sell-side engagements across banking, insurance, wealth and asset management, superannuation and fintech, analysing financial performance, capital and regulatory considerations, key value drivers and deal risks
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives, boards and investment committees, translating analysis into clear, actionable recommendations
• Build deep financial services sector knowledge, equipping clients with data-driven insights that accelerate deal outcomes in a fast-moving regulatory environment
• Use PwC's advanced tools, including AI and analytics, to enhance delivery, elevate the client experience and build digital capability across the team
• Lead, coach and develop our people, fostering an inclusive, high-performing team environment
• Contribute to the growth of our Financial Services Transaction Services practice through market relationships, proposals and origination - at Director level, taking clear ownership of client portfolios, pursuit strategy and practice growth

What we're looking for

• Solid experience working with market-leading private equity, corporate and infrastructure clients, and an understanding of what drives value and risk in regulated financial institutions
• Proficiency in AI, digital tools and emerging technologies for financial analysis
• Strong analytical capability, with the ability to communicate complex insights concisely to a range of stakeholders
• A collaborative team player with a positive, can-do mindset and the ability to perform across multiple engagements
• Sound commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret market and regulatory trends and provide strategic, value-adding insights
• A strong commitment to integrity and care for colleagues and clients
• Proven ability to build and maintain lasting internal and client relationships; Director applicants will also demonstrate a track record of winning work and leading teams
• Relevant professional qualifications and/or degree (e.g. CA/CPA, CFA, FINSIA, MBA, Master of Finance or similar)
