Job Profile: Reporting Analyst

Job Title: Reporting Analyst – Grade 10

Reports To: Management Specialist
Location: Pune III
Department: Operations / Finance / Business Support

Position Summary

The Reporting Analyst is responsible for developing, consolidating, analyzing, and delivering accurate and timely reports to support business decision-making. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams. The analyst will transform data into meaningful insights, create executive-level presentations, maintain reporting databases, and support management with key performance metrics and operational reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Analytics

• Prepare, maintain, and distribute recurring and ad-hoc business reports.
• Collect, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Develop dashboards, scorecards, and performance reports to support business objectives.
• Identify trends, risks, opportunities, and key business insights through data analysis.
• Monitor reporting metrics and recommend process improvements.

Data Consolidation & Management

• Consolidate data from various systems and departments into standardized reporting formats.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.
• Maintain reporting databases and documentation.
• Ensure data consistency and integrity across all reports.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate with business teams to gather reporting requirements and clarify data needs.
• Serve as a liaison between operations, finance, technology, and management teams.
• Support management reviews by providing timely reporting and analysis.
• Assist in preparing executive presentations and management updates.

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes.
• Leverage reporting tools and technology to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to reporting and analytics.

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Index-Match, Advanced Formulas).
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction, validation, and analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint for executive presentations.
• Experience with reporting and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar preferred).
• Ability to work with large datasets and multiple data sources.
