Coram AI
Supply Chain Manager / Leader (Founding)
Sunnyvale, CA (onsite) · Full-time · Reports directly to the CEO
About Coram
Coram is building AI for the physical world: AI-powered physical security across cameras, access control, and weapon detection. We ship AI security cameras plus the compute that powers them, servers built with GPUs, hard drives, and memory.
The Role
This is a founding Supply Chain Manager role, the strategic "brain" of our supply chain. You will own how we source, secure, and plan the inventory of our hardware, working across OEMs, JDMs, contract manufacturers, and distributors, and you will build this function from scratch. You will report directly to the CEO..
You will work closely with the hardware, engineering, logistics, and fulfillment teams. While ensuring we are always planning ahead of demand and securing the high-in-demand inventory (memory, HDDs, servers) and also working with our CMs and JDM partners in Asia.
What We Ship (so you know the landscape)
Servers in multiple form factors, built with GPUs, hard drives, and RAM/memory.
Our supply chain is a mix of OEM, JDM, and CM. Our suppliers are based both in the US and Asia. This job will require working closely with them, understanding their timeline and ensuring a consistent supply of inventory.
We span the full spectrum: OEM (order the entire finished equipment), JDM (control the sub-parts), and contract manufacturing (control individual parts), depending on the product line.
What You'll Own
Sourcing & vendor management
Work fluently across OEM vendors, JDM vendors and distributors, e.g. GPU distributors and server distributors.
Run the full range of sourcing: fully-built (buy the complete assembled product) and parts sourcing (buy and integrate the individual components).
Source across both primary and secondary markets as availability and cost dictate.
Negotiate commercial terms and hold vendors accountable on timelines, delivery, and quality.
Securing supply & inventory
Secure supply in advance in tight, allocation-driven markets (GPUs, memory, storage, servers), deciding when to commit and how much.
Own the commercial structure of those commitments, including down-payment strategy, and understand and manage the cash-flow implications of pre-buys and inventory.
Own inventory strategy and readiness: ensure we have enough materials and finished goods in stock to meet demand and never leave revenue on the table.
Planning, systems & build
Stand up demand and supply planning, inventory controls, and the requirements for the ERP and how supply chain connects to it.
Build the processes, playbooks, and eventually the team, from zero. Partner closely with the CEO & finance team on strategy while staying tactical and hands-on.
What We're Looking For
Hands-on hardware supply chain experience, ideally with servers, GPUs, HDDs, memory, silicon, or data-center / compute hardware. This is the core of the role.
Real depth in vendor negotiation and managing OEM / JDM / distributor relationships, and holding them accountable.
Strong grasp of securing supply in constrained markets, pre-buy / down-payment decisions, and the cash-flow implications of inventory.
A builder's mindset: someone who wants to build a function from scratch, not run an existing well-oiled machine. Both strategic and tactical, comfortable in ambiguity.
You are hired for the brain and the process instinct, not a specific product, smart enough to translate a mature playbook into a fast, scrappy Series-B environment.
We're on a mission to transform a $50B+ legacy industry by bringing the power of cutting-edge multimodal LLMs and computer vision to real-world security and operations. From firearm detection to intelligent access control, our AI-native platform turns every camera and sensor into a smart system that enhances safety, efficiency, and awareness.
