Position Overview:
The Supervisor, Internal Communications ensures global team members stay informed about DigiKey’s vision, goals, projects and executive updates by leading strategic internal communications initiatives. This role is responsible for building and protecting company culture and morale through communications, keeping the energy and momentum visible as DigiKey grows. The ideal candidate will be a skilled storyteller with strong interpersonal skills and a proven track record for creating and executing a successful internal communications strategy.This role is based in Thief River Falls, MN and will require a minimum of three days per week in the office and be available for projects in the office as needed. Travel required, at times, domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities:
Build and manage DigiKey’s internal communications infrastructure: the team, strategy, channels, cadences and best practices for how the company communicates.
Serve as a strategic communications partner across the business; triaging and prioritizing company-wide communication requests and partnering with stakeholders to translate complex topics into clear, effective messaging.
Partner closely with the HR team as a strategic sounding board on sensitive or high-stakes communications.
Partner with marketing communications teams to keep our internal and external narrative aligned and consistent.
Evolve DigiKey’s internal communications strategy and toolkit as the company scales, experimenting with new initiatives and channels.
Measure and iterate on what's working, bringing a data-informed lens to DigiKey’s internal communications team.
Organize and lead communication projects and planning meetings.
Open to using AI to amplify skills and strengthen work, demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.
This role will report to our Thief River Falls, Minnesota campus a minimum of three days per week.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism or Marketing
3+ years of experience communicating cross-functionally with 1 year of leadership experience
Excellent storytelling and proofreading skills
Journalistic writing experience
Knowledge of DigiKey brand and core values
Tools/Systems/Software:
Microsoft Viva (Amplify, Connections, Engage), Office, Teams, Outlook and SharePoint
Physical Requirements:
Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen.
Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body.
Compensation:
The base pay range for this position is:
$74,300to
$102,500Many factors influence the determination of base pay within a range, including the candidate’s work experience in related roles; the candidate’s knowledge, skills, capabilities, and performance; the relative pay of other DigiKey employees in similar roles; and the budget available for the position.
