Accounting Supervisor (m/w/d)

As part of our Accounting Center of Excellence in Germany, we are looking for an Accounting Supervisor (m/w/d) who enjoys combining leadership with hands-on accounting expertise.

In this role, you will take ownership of entity certification, audits, and financial reporting, while leading an international team and contributing to the ongoing development of our finance organization.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading, coaching, and developing a team of 5 accounting professionals (based in Germany and Spain), creating a strong team culture across locations, with occasional travel (approx. once per quarter)
• Coordinating month-, quarter-, and year-end closing activities
• Reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations
• Leading monthly balance sheet reviews in collaboration with the business and SSC
• Ensuring timely and accurate reporting in OneStream
• Safeguarding compliance with US GAAP, HGB, and internal standards
• Coordinating internal and external audits and following up on findings
• Investigating and resolving accounting topics and discrepancies
• Driving the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Identifying and implementing process improvements across accounting and reporting
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders
• Supporting finance projects and strategic initiatives

About you

You bring a solid accounting background and enjoy working in an international, structured environment where quality and collaboration matter.

To be successful in this role, we expect you have:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and HGB
• Experience in financial reporting and audit coordination
• Experience in people management or team coordination
• Comfortable working with international teams and cross-border collaboration
• Structured, detail-oriented, and solution-driven mindset
• Experience with ERP/reporting tools (e.g., OneStream) is an advantage
• Fluent communication skills in German and English
