What's the role?
Official job title is Commercial Manager - Strategy and will be based in Dubai, UAE.
The role drives strategic initiatives across the organization's investment portfolio, growth objectives, and geographic expansion. Working closely with senior leadership, Finance, commercial and sales, the Strategy Manager brings market intelligence, investment analysis, and location strategy together into clear recommendations. Key responsibilities include:
Corporate Investment Strategy
- Shape the organization's corporate investment strategy and long-term growth agenda, including scenario planning to support executive decisions.Assess investment opportunities, partnerships, acquisitions, and strategic business initiatives.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models including DCF, peer comparison, and project economics analyses along with business cases and return-on-investment analyses to support investment decisions.
- Evaluate portfolio performance and identify opportunities for expansion, optimization, or divestment.
Strategic Planning & Business Growth
- Lead strategic planning activities and support the development of business strategies.
- Conduct scenario planning and strategic assessments to support executive decision-making.
- Develop strategies that enhance operational efficiency, and long-term competitiveness.
Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis
- Conduct market, industry, and competitive analyses to inform investment and business decisions.
- Monitor and deliver reports on economic conditions, regulatory developments, and industry trends impacting investment strategies.
- Maintain intelligence on emerging markets, industry disruptions, and competitor activities.
Geographic Expansion Strategy
- Asses potential expansion markets based on business demand, investment potential, operational feasibility, and talent availability.
- Develop location strategies for new offices, hubs, and corporate investments.
- Partner with business leaders to identify and prioritize geographic growth opportunities.
Transaction Execution & Due Diligence
- Support execution of acquisitions, divestitures, partnerships, and other strategic transactions.
- Coordinate financial, commercial, and operational due diligence with internal teams and external advisors.
- Prepare investment committee papers, board presentations, and negotiation support materials.
Who are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Strategy, or a related field.
- MBA, CFA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred
- With 5–7+ years of experience in Corporate Strategy and Investments, Investment Banking, Business Transformation, Financial Due Diligence or Investment Management
