Staff Assistant – Patient Placement Team | Baystate Health
Baystate Health is seeking a part-time Staff Assistant to support the Manager of Patient Placement at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. This role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys providing administrative support and working collaboratively with leaders and staff across a healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare reports, spreadsheets, correspondence, and other administrative materials
• Manage calendars, meetings, appointments, and department communications
• Receive and respond to telephone calls, visitors, and routine inquiries
• Maintain department records, files, and administrative systems
• Assist with department budgets, purchasing, invoices, and expenses
• Collaborate professionally with hospital leadership, medical staff, and colleagues
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of office or medical practice experience
• Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets
Schedule & Location:
• Part-time, 24 hours per week
• Monday–Friday, business hours
• Approximately 8:00 AM–2:00 PM or 9:00 AM–3:00 PM, with some flexibility

OUR COMPENSATION PHILOSOPHY
We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other recognition programs for our employees. The base pay range shown above considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This base pay range does not include our comprehensive benefits package and any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role.

No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
