The Opportunity

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and develop scalable, production-quality applications with Python and modern backend technologies, while contributing to frontend development using Angular and exploring practical applications of Agentic AI.

You will take end-to-end ownership of software features from requirements and technical design through development, testing, deployment, and support. Working with architects, product leaders, and cross-functional engineering teams, you will solve complex technical problems, contribute to architecture decisions, and deliver reliable solutions that create meaningful business and customer value.

What You'll Do

• Own end-to-end delivery of software features from requirements and technical design through development, testing, deployment, and production support. Analyze requirements, estimate scope, identify dependencies and risks, and contribute to technical planning.

• Design and develop scalable Python-based backend applications and services using Python, Flask/FastAPI, RESTful APIs, microservices, databases, and modern software architecture patterns. Build clean, modular, secure, maintainable, and testable code.

• Contribute to full-stack application development by developing and integrating user-facing functionality using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, while working closely with backend services and APIs to deliver cohesive application experiences.

• Apply practical Agentic AI capabilities to software applications where appropriate, including AI agents, Large Language Model (LLM) integrations, prompt engineering, tool/function calling, and workflow automation to enhance application functionality and engineering productivity.

• Drive software quality and engineering excellence through unit and integration testing, code reviews, debugging, performance optimization, observability, CI/CD practices, and structured root-cause analysis of complex software and integration issues.

• Contribute to technical leadership and collaboration through architecture discussions, design reviews, code reviews, technical forums, and knowledge sharing while working with product managers, architects, senior engineers, and cross-functional teams.

You are a software engineer who enjoys building reliable, scalable applications and solving complex technical problems. You have strong expertise in Python and backend development, with practical experience contributing to full-stack applications and an interest in emerging AI capabilities.

You are comfortable taking ownership of features, collaborating across teams, and translating business requirements into well-designed technical solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Professional experience in software engineering, backend development, or full-stack application development, with demonstrated experience delivering production-quality software.

• Strong proficiency in Python 3.x, including object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, software design principles, and maintainable software development practices.

• Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services using Python frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or equivalent technologies, with knowledge of microservices, API design, service integration, and distributed application concepts.

• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases, Git, Linux, unit/integration testing, debugging, and modern software development practices including CI/CD.

• Working experience with frontend development using Angular, TypeScript and Node.js, with a good understanding of component-based UI development, API integration, and web application architecture.

• Ability to analyze complex technical problems, evaluate design alternatives, and deliver scalable, maintainable, secure, and reliable software solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Agentic AI, Large Language Model (LLM) integrations, AI agents, prompt engineering, tool/function calling, or AI-assisted application development.

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, cloud platforms (Preferably AWS), CI/CD automation, observability, or modern DevOps practices.

• Familiarity with Python technologies such as pandas, NumPy, or other data-processing and automation libraries.

• Experience with Postman, pytest, unittest, API testing, performance testing, or automated quality tools.

• Exposure to AI-assisted software development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar technologies.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related STEM discipline.

• A master’s degree or relevant industry experience in software engineering or related technical domains is a plus.
