We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead a team of NPI Supply Chain Program Managers within the New Product Commercialization (NPC) organization. The role is tied to the CoE Business Section while organizationally embedded in NPC, bridging CoE development, Global Supply Chain, suppliers, and Applied business units. Besides talent management, the successful candidate is expected to own and successfully manage product sourcing strategies, drive supplier portfolio decisions, ensure cost performance, and deliver timely integration of CoE technology innovations into NPI programs. The Senior Manager is also expected to remain actively hands-on in program management activities, leading select high-impact programs personally in addition to overseeing the broader portfolio. This leader is accountable for talent development, executive-level governance, and end-to-end results across multiple programs in a highly complex, fast-paced, corporate-level environment.

Mission

CoE NPI Supply Chain is the strategic enterprise integration layer connecting Centers of Excellence operations (CoE), Business Units, and Global Supply Chain. The mission is to accelerate new product commercialization through cross-functional synergies, standardized supply-chain strategy and execution, improved cost and gross margin performance, and the timely proliferation of technology innovations into NPI programs.

The Senior Manager owns delivery of the four NPI key deliverables across the team:

  • Product Sourcing Strategy – agile, scalable, resilient product ramp through GSC ecosystems.

  • Product Cost Performance – product viability and gross margin performance.

  • Corporate Synergies – leverage across CoE teams, BUs, and Global Supply Chain.

  • Effective Implementation – deploy technology innovations and cost optimization into new products.

Scope spans Supply Chain Strategy & Resiliency, Lab Qual/Cut-in Management, CM Selection & HVM Readiness, Cost Apportionment Model (CAM), Best BoM Assessment, and Cost Reduction Roadmap & Execution across MCOS.

Required Skills

1. People Leadership & Talent Development

  • Builds, leads, and develops a high-performing team of NPI Supply Chain Program Managers across multiple commodities and programs.
  • Sets clear objectives, manages performance, coaches for impact, and develops succession depth.
  • Drives team operating cadence, prioritization, and cross-team collaboration with engineering, BUs, and GSC.
  • Champions a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

2. NPI Supply Chain & Commodity Management

  • Owns commodity strategy and supplier portfolio decisions: market intelligence, supplier landscape, and multi-year sourcing roadmaps.
  • Leads supplier selection and qualification at the executive level: RFx, technical/commercial evaluation, and CM selection for HVM readiness.
  • Negotiates and approves complex commercial agreements: pricing, MSAs/SOWs, T&Cs, and TCO optimization.
  • Governs CAM, should-costing, Best BoM scenarios, and cost reduction roadmap execution across programs.
  • Ensures supply chain resiliency through dual sourcing, risk mitigation, and lab qual / cut-in management.

3. Program & Portfolio Management

  • Stays actively hands-on in program management: personally leads selected high-impact NPI sourcing programs in addition to portfolio oversight.
  • Oversees the broader portfolio of NPI sourcing programs: scope, schedule, dependencies, milestones, and risk posture.
  • Drives execution rigor: operating cadence, action tracking, and concise executive readouts.
  • Manages RAID logs, mitigation plans, escalation frameworks, and decision logs at both program and portfolio level.
  • Aligns vendor and partner governance across internal and external teams.

4. Supply Chain & Semiconductor Domain

  • NPI to HVM ramp leadership: supply readiness, capacity planning, and ramp governance.
  • Semiconductor supply chain depth: lead-times, allocation, shortage management, lifecycle/obsolescence.
  • Supplier management at scale: qualification, scorecards, QBRs, and corrective action follow-up.
  • Manufacturing and logistics fundamentals (MRP concepts, inventory health, material flow).

5. Strategic Initiative Leadership & Executive Communication

  • Translates strategy into executable workstreams, KPIs, and measurable outcomes for the team.
  • Drives Continuous Improvement Program (CIP) activities across the team — identifies, prioritizes, and delivers structural cost, cycle-time, and process improvements.
  • Leads executive governance: steering committees, decision forums, and structured status narratives.
  • Builds cross-functional alignment across engineering, sourcing, operations, finance, quality, and legal.
  • Influences without authority and presents complex topics simply to senior and executive stakeholders.

6. Accountability & Execution Mindset

  • Thrives in and leads through a highly complex, energetic, corporate-level environment with strong independent judgment.
  • Drives high ownership culture: identifies gaps, proposes solutions, and ensures closure.
  • Bias for action with quality and compliance; deploys structured problem solving (5 Whys, Fishbone) at scale.
  • Continuous improvement: Lean/Kaizen mindset; standard work and process optimization.

Preferred Commodity Experience

Specialization and prior sourcing/program leadership experience in the following areas is strongly preferred:

  • RF Power – RF generators, matching networks, power delivery systems, and supplier landscape for semiconductor capital equipment.
  • Box Assemblies – complex electromechanical box-build assemblies, integration testing, configuration management, and HVM ramp readiness.
  • Outsourcing to Contract Manufacturers – CM/EMS strategy, make-vs-buy analysis, transfer execution, dual sourcing, and operational governance of outsourced manufacturing partners.

Competency Expectations

  • Manages professional employees and supervisors; may manage multiple teams of professionals.
  • Has accountability for the performance and results of a team within own discipline or function while also personally leading select programs.
  • Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.
  • Decisions are guided by policies, procedures, and the business plan; receives guidance from senior manager.
  • Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues, and customers; resolves complex business issues affecting the team and broader function.

Qualifications

  • Education: BA/BS in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field; MS/MBA strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 12+ years of progressive experience in NPI Supply Chain, Program Management, and/or Sourcing, with at least 3–5 years in a direct people-management role; semiconductor industry strongly preferred.
  • Preferred: Demonstrated commodity leadership in RF power, box assemblies, and/or outsourcing to contract manufacturers, including CM selection, transfer execution, and HVM ramp readiness.
  • Proven ability to lead teams independently while remaining actively hands-on in program execution in a highly complex, fast-paced, energetic, corporate-level environment.
