The Opportunity: 

CACI is seeking an experienced Socio-Cultural Integration Planner, Journeyman to support operational planning and mission integration across the Indo-Pacific. The Socio-Cultural Integration Planner, Journeyman serves as CACI's functional analysis professional responsible for researching, analyzing, and integrating socio-cultural, regional, and human terrain information into logistics, mission support, operational planning, and partner engagement activities. Reporting directly to the Socio-Cultural Integration Planner Lead, this position supports Government planners by providing analytical products and regional insights that improve operational understanding, strengthen partner nation collaboration, and enhance mission effectiveness. 

The Socio-Cultural Integration Planner works closely with Government stakeholders, operational planners, intelligence analysts, logistics planners, civil affairs personnel, information operations professionals, coalition partners, host nation representatives, and mission partners to analyze the operational environment and incorporate political, military, economic, social, information, infrastructure, physical environment, and cultural (PMESII-PT) factors into planning efforts. This position contributes to successful program execution by improving situational awareness, identifying socio-cultural opportunities and risks, and supporting informed operational decision-making throughout the Indo-Pacific theater. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct socio-cultural research and analysis supporting operational planning, logistics planning, and mission partner engagement. 

  • Analyze PMESII-PT variables, human terrain, regional dynamics, governance structures, and cultural considerations affecting mission execution. 

  • Develop operational environment assessments, regional studies, cultural analyses, and planning products supporting Government operations. 

  • Support integration of socio-cultural considerations into campaign plans, contingency plans, operational plans, and theater security cooperation activities. 

  • Coordinate with intelligence analysts, logistics planners, civil affairs personnel, and operational planning teams to support integrated planning efforts. 

  • Identify socio-cultural risks, regional trends, and environmental factors that may influence mission success. 

  • Support operational planning teams during mission analysis, course of action development, operational synchronization, and assessment activities. 

  • Prepare analytical reports, briefing materials, decision support products, and operational summaries for Government leadership. 

  • Monitor political, economic, social, and cultural developments affecting operations throughout the Indo-Pacific. 

  • Support engagement planning with coalition partners, host nation organizations, and interagency stakeholders. 

  • Maintain planning documentation, analytical databases, and socio-cultural reference materials. 

  • Support operational exercises, planning events, after-action reviews, and lessons learned activities. 

  • Ensure analytical products comply with Government standards, security requirements, and established planning methodologies. 

  • Promote analytical rigor, collaboration, and continuous process improvement across operational planning efforts. 

  • Support contingency operations and emergent mission requirements requiring rapid socio-cultural assessments. 

 

Qualifications: 

Required:  

  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting functional analysis, regional studies, socio-cultural analysis, intelligence analysis, operational planning, civil affairs, or mission planning for Government or Department of Defense organizations. 

  • Active Secret Clearance

  • Experience supporting Department of Defense, Joint, Combatant Command, Service Component, or Special Operations organizations is preferred. 

  • Experience conducting research and analysis supporting operational planning, mission support, or partner nation engagement activities. 

  • Experience supporting PMESII-PT analysis, operational environment assessments, regional analysis, or human terrain analysis. 

  • Experience preparing analytical reports, briefing materials, and decision support products. 

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary planning teams supporting Government operations. 

Desired :

  • Bachelor's Degree in International Relations, Anthropology, Sociology, Political Science, Intelligence Studies, Regional Studies, Military Science, Geography, or a related field. 

  • Experience supporting Indo-Pacific operations, theater security cooperation, multinational exercises, or partner nation engagement activities. 

  • Experience supporting USSOCOM, SOCPAC, Geographic Combatant Commands, Joint Task Forces, Civil Affairs, or Special Operations organizations. 

  • Experience utilizing ArcGIS, Palantir, Power BI, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, geospatial visualization tools, and operational planning systems. 

  • Professional education in Joint Professional Military Education (JPME), Civil Affairs, Regional Area Studies, Foreign Area Officer (FAO) programs, or equivalent analytical training is desirable. 

  • Experience supporting multinational, coalition, interagency, or host nation planning activities is highly desirable. 

  • Experience integrating socio-cultural analysis into logistics planning, humanitarian assistance, disaster response, mission support, or operational planning activities is highly desirable.

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$60,400 - $123,900
