Role
We are looking for a Senior Professional Services Resident Consultant to join our team. This is an Onsite, Mumbai role, reporting to the Manager, Professional Services in the Professional Services department. In this role, you will be the strategic face of Zscaler for our enterprise clients, deep-diving into unique customer environments to architect, configure, and integrate solutions on our industry-leading Zero Trust platform. You bring a strong consultant mindset, exceptional customer-facing acumen, and deep deployment expertise to collaborate closely with sales, external partners, and cross-functional teams—ensuring our customers achieve seamless, timely, and secure transformations.
What you’ll do (Role Expectations)
- Serve as a dedicated technical advisor for strategic enterprise customers over extended engagements (6 months, 1 year, or longer)
- Act as the customer's "Go-To" expert for all matters related to their Zscaler deployment, adoption, and optimization
- Architect, configure, and integrate ZIA, ZPA, and broader Zero Trust Exchange solutions into complex enterprise environments
- Lead technical discovery, solution design, and migration planning workshops with customer stakeholders
- Collaborate with sales, external partners, and customer teams to provide consultancy and deployment services

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions to optimize outcomes within your functional domain
- 8+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles such as Professional Services Consultant, Network/Security Specialist, Technical Account Manager, Support/Escalation Engineer, or SOC Engineer
- Hands-on experience deploying and operating Zscaler solutions — ZIA and ZPA
- Strong knowledge of authentication systems (SAML, SSO/IdP integrations) alongside a solid foundation in networking and security fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, SSL/TLS, PAC files, GRE/IPSec tunnels, proxies, and firewalls)
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and consultative skills — comfortable engaging with both technical teams and senior business stakeholders
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience leveraging AI-powered analytics or machine learning tools to analyze network traffic patterns, detect anomalies, or optimize Zero Trust policy configurations
- Experience with solutions built on Microsoft Azure, AWS, and other leading cloud platforms, as well as familiarity with hypervisors including VMware, Hyper-V, and KVM
- Industry certifications such as ZDTA / ZDTE, or CISSP
