Join us as a Senior Java Developer

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting a Senior Java Developer to join our MakerSource team. In this role, in addition to performing development‑related tasks for the functional team, you will take on a sub‑lead role within the MakerSource Developer Pod – a team of Java developers assigned to various projects.

Location: Kraków

Hybrid model: Hybrid model 3 days per week in the office /2 days for a parent of a child up to 4 years old

About the team: MakerSource team is the organization designed to attract, develop, and retain entry level IT talent.

In our team, you will be responsible for:

• Core Java development and Web applications with Java & Spring
• Participate with requirements analysis, suggest ideas and solutions
• Take over responsibility for feature development, drive process solely
• Take over responsibility for deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes
• Debugging and existing application support
• Working in distributed teams with using Agile Frameworks (Kanban, Scrum)
• Understanding of SDLC processes and underlying technical requirements to meet the criteria
• Manage the team of interns and junior developers, measure performance, provide feedback
• Share technical expertise, identify training needs, provide ongoing support for team members 

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science/engineering or last year of university degree
• Good analytical skills
• 4+ years of hands-on Java development experience
• Expertise in Java (8+)
• Expertise in Spring Framework
• Good knowledge of JPA/Hibernate
• Good knowledge of SQL/NoSQL
• Good knowledge of Linux commands and scripting
• Good command of English
