The Opportunity
As a Senior Financial Analyst at Bridgewater Bank, you are the organization's go-to expert. A trusted voice across the enterprise who turns complex financial data into clear, actionable insight.

You sit at the intersection of accounting expertise, financial planning, and strategic analysis, serving as the subject matter expert that finance teams and internal leadership rely on every day. Your work spans forecasting, budgeting, risk analysis, and competitor benchmarking, all with the goal of keeping Bridgewater Bank’s financial strategy sharp and well-informed.

You don’t just analyze numbers, you interpret what they mean for the organization. Whether you’re leading ALM and interest rate risk reviews, developing and refining the annual forecast model, or assessing the impact of regulatory and competitive changes, you bring technical depth and business judgment in equal measure.

Working closely with finance teams, functional department managers, and executive leaders, you play a key role in translating complex financial concepts into clear recommendations, ensuring those at every level of the organization have what they need to make sound decisions.

Who You Are

  • You’re a skilled financial analyst with deep expertise in accounting, planning, and risk analysis, and you know how to translate that expertise into decisions others can act on.
  • You’re intellectually curious and thrive when working through complex problems, whether it’s ALM, IFRS, credit risk, or competitive analysis.
  • You’re a clear, confident communicator who can break down technical concepts for audiences at every level, from fellow finance professionals to executive leadership.
  • You’re highly organized and disciplined in managing competing priorities, especially during high-pressure periods like budget cycles and regulatory deadlines.
  • You take ownership of your areas of expertise and are proactive about expanding your knowledge, including stepping into unfamiliar territory and making it your own.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Serve as the enterprise-wide subject matter expert in your designated areas (which may include accounting issues, risk, products, IFRS, financial systems, and more), providing advice and recommendations that are grounded in both technical knowledge and business understanding.
  • Research, analyze, and evaluate ALM, credit risk, and interest rate risk to assess their impact on the organization. Interpreting guidelines, recommending courses of action, and preparing reports and recommendations for senior management.
  • Analyze, assess, and evaluate the financial performance and products of Bridgewater Bank’s competitors, translating findings into reporting and strategic recommendations for senior management.
  • Lead financial performance analysis versus budget, integrating technical knowledge and business context to provide meaningful recommendations on variances and trends.
  • Own the monthly forecasting process and the annual budget, including ongoing development and continuous improvement of the forecast model.
  • Coordinate and execute finance, strategic, and operational projects and initiatives across functional areas, ensuring work is appropriately scoped, resourced, and delivered.
  • Translate changes in strategy, guidelines, regulatory requirements, and the business environment into actionable business requirements and updates to the forecast model.
  • Prepare analysis, reporting, and recommendations that are relied on by management and the Board for key decision-making.
  • Mentor and develop other finance team members and internal customers in your areas of subject matter expertise, supporting a culture of continuous learning.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Business
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA)
  • Minimum seven years of progressive experience in a finance or accounting role, with demonstrated growth in responsibility
  • Solid accounting and finance expertise, including knowledge of IFRS, tax, risk, disclosures, and financial systems
  • Advanced Excel and VBA skills, with the ability to build and work with complex financial models
  • Demonstrated strength in data gathering, analysis, problem solving, and critical thinking, with the ability to interpret complex information and provide clear recommendations
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization and lead through influence
