The Sr Decision Support Analyst plays a critical role in supporting strategic, operational, and financial decisions across the health system. This position provides advanced analysis of clinical, operational, and financial data to guide leadership in improving performance, reducing cost, and enhancing patient care value. The analyst leverages StrataJazz and other financial tools to deliver accurate, timely and actional insights that drive informed decision-making. Analysts within the team are able to maximize their knowledge by specializing in specific areas including Business Development & Clinical Analysis, Contract Modeling, Cost Accounting, Budgeting, Management Reporting and Corporate Reimbursement
Required Qualifications: Senior Decision Support Analyst
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, management engineering, healthcare, data analytics, or a related field OR equivalent combination of education/experience combined (one year of education equals one year of experience) required.
- 5 years of experience in data analysis and financial reporting required.
- Expert knowledge in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
- Proven critical thinking, logic and analytical skills to identify and comprehend opportunities/problems for financial and operational improvement required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills needed for the variety of customer interactions associated with this position required.
- Experience leading and participating in teams to apply collective expertise toward business challenges and improvements required.
- Ability to translate broad requests and questions into meaningful trends, recommendations and new business insight required.
- Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts to deliver a comprehensive work product to end users required.
Preferred Qualifications: Senior Decision Support Analyst
- Prior relevant work experience in healthcare setting preferred.
- Master’s degree in business, finance, accounting, healthcare, data analytics or a related field preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of cost behavior, managed care reimbursement, business planning preferred.
- Knowledge of medical records coding terminology preferred.
- Working experience with multiple aspects of the healthcare system, such as care delivery, clinical operations, finance, patient access, insurance, revenue cycle preferred.
- Experience with business intelligence platforms such as Stratajazz, Tableau, Xcelsius, Cognos, Cogito, ArcMap preferred
