Role: Senior Consultant- Corporate solutions Payroll

Role summary:

The role is part of the Apex payroll team reporting to the directors based in Lisbon. You will be acting as a support team member to the payroll team working on the client’s Portuguese companies supporting with review of monthly payroll runs, month end reporting, preparation, review of tax payroll obligations and support to the junior consultants on their roles.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Execution and review of payroll processing for several companies from Apex client portfolio.

• Support to the junior consultants on their tasks to be performed.

• Production of monthly reports.

• Production of annual payroll obligations.

• Preparation of tax payroll returns.

• Onboarding and setup of all formalities regarding admissions and/or leaver

• Client relationship and as well with other stakeholder with relation to Client’s operational matters.

Skills and qualifications required:

• University degree in finance or human resource management

• At least some years of payroll experience with significant exposure to Portuguese labour and tax law

• Fluent English knowledge (written & conversational)

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• Experience with payroll ERP’s and de salarios - CENTRALGEST is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions and make decisions.

• Strong communication, influence and interpersonal skills

• Organized and accurate in working methodologies.
