Make your impact
Lead and grow Weir Minerals' presence across the Pilbara by driving sales performance, executing strategic business objectives, and building strong customer partnerships within the mining and minerals processing industries. Working closely with the General Manager, you'll lead a high-performing sales team, develop multi-level customer relationships, identify new growth opportunities, and deliver exceptional value to our customers across the region.

What you’ll do
• Sales and Strategy Leadership: Lead the Pilbara region’s sales and strategy efforts by identifying and developing short- and long-term growth opportunities aligned with business unit strategies. Daily activities include building and maintaining multilevel customer relationships in mining and minerals processing industries. Success is measured by sustained market share growth and revenue increases.
• Business Planning and Execution: Prepare, present, and implement annual business plans that drive business revenue growth and market share expansion. Collaborate with the General Manager to propose and initiate new business activities.
• Team Management and Development: Supervise and train Area Managers, enhancing their effectiveness through ongoing development programs focused on business, interpersonal, and technical skills. Regularly evaluate team performance to ensure alignment with company strategies and policies.
• Operational Excellence: Lead and participate in cross-functional lean business improvement programs to enhance profitability through margin and overhead management.
• Travel Requirements: Frequent travel to project locations within the region is expected to support customer engagement and operational oversight.
• Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 5 years' sales experience with a strong track record of results and team leadership, ideally within minerals processing or related industries.
• Customer-focused commercial mindset with the ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships at all levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to diverse audiences.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP, with the ability to analyse and interpret business data.
• Tertiary engineering qualification, trade background, or relevant experience within the mining and minerals sector.
• Experience in strategic business planning, lean continuous improvement initiatives, and safety and environmental compliance.
