What would you do? Record-to-Report (R2R) is a critical finance function responsible for ensuring accurate financial accounting, compliance, reporting, and financial governance. As organizations continue to modernize finance operations, there is an increasing focus on automation, standardization, and digital transformation. Accenture partners with global clients to transform Finance functions through process optimization, BlackLine implementations, SAP integration, and intelligent automation. This role will lead strategic Finance Transformation engagements, helping clients modernize their R2R landscape by leveraging BlackLine and industry-leading practices You will lead strategic Finance Transformation engagements focused on Record-to-Report process optimization, finance automation, and BlackLine implementation. As the key functional and delivery lead for client engagements, you will work closely with Finance leadership to define automation strategies, identify transformation opportunities, and successfully deliver BlackLine solutions across Journal Automation, Account Reconciliations, Transaction Matching, Financial Close, and related finance processes. You will be responsible for owning engagement delivery from discovery through implementation, ensuring successful business outcomes while acting as the trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders. The role requires strong expertise in R2R processes, accounting, SAP, BlackLine, solution design, stakeholder management, consulting, and delivery leadership. • Experience leading Record-to-Report transformation, process improvement, or finance automation initiatives within Finance Operations or Shared Services environments. • Hands-on experience with BlackLine implementation and SAP S/4HANA (or other ERP platforms), with exposure to Journal Automation, Account Reconciliations, and Transaction Matching modules preferred. • Experience working with global clients in a client-facing delivery role; BlackLine certification or equivalent finance automation certifications will be an added advantage.
What are we looking for? The following skills are required to perform this role- • Strong expertise in Record-to-Report (R2R) processes with sound accounting knowledge and understanding of financial controls. • Proven experience leading Finance Transformation and BlackLine implementation engagements. • Hands-on functional expertise in BlackLine, SAP S/4HANA, and finance process automation solutions. • Ability to translate business and accounting requirements into scalable automation and transformation solutions. • Strong consulting, stakeholder management, and client relationship management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership. • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing end-to-end project delivery. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and solution design capabilities. • Excellent communication, presentation, and workshop facilitation skills. • Experience working in global delivery environments and managing multi-geography client engagements. • Strong focus on innovation, continuous improvement, delivery excellence, and business value realization. Additionally, you must possess the following skills- • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and lead strategic Finance Transformation engagements. • Strong leadership, people management, and mentoring skills with experience leading cross-functional and global teams. • Professional certifications in BlackLine, SAP, or Finance Transformation methodologies will be an added advantage. Roles and Responsibilities: • Lead end-to-end Finance Transformation and BlackLine implementation engagements for global clients. • Act as the primary functional lead and trusted advisor to client Finance leadership, driving transformation strategy and solution delivery. • Lead discovery workshops, assess current-state processes, and define future-state operating models and automation roadmaps. • Design and deliver BlackLine solutions across Record-to-Report processes, ensuring alignment with accounting standards and business requirements. • Provide deep functional expertise across R2R processes, including journals, reconciliations, financial close, reporting, and controls. • Lead cross-functional teams through solution design, implementation, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. • Build and manage strong relationships with senior client stakeholders while ensuring successful engagement delivery. • Drive process standardization, automation, continuous improvement, and adoption of industry-leading practices. • Mentor project teams, support capability development, and contribute to business growth through solutioning and thought leadership.
