We are looking for a highly detail-oriented and analytical Quality Control Specialist – Documentation to review draft reports and documentation for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying errors, missing information, inconsistencies, and logical issues within documentation. You will also ensure that reports meet specific client, insurance, industry, and internal requirements, while providing clear and constructive feedback where revisions are required.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working with detailed information, has excellent written communication skills, and can maintain a high level of accuracy when working with large volumes of documentation.

PLEASE NOTE:

• Working Hours: This role requires you to work EST hours Mon - Fri from 9am to 6pm EST (15h00 to 24h00 South African time - subject to change depending on USA daylight savings).
• Internet Requirements: A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and the ability to support a wired Ethernet connection is mandatory. Applicants without a fixed fibre line cannot be considered.
• Power Backup: A reliable power backup solution is required to manage load shedding and power outages. Applicants without a power backup cannot be considered.
• Work Environment: This is a fully remote working role.

Responsibilities:

• Review draft reports and documents for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Identify spelling, grammatical, formatting, factual, and logical errors.
• Check documentation for missing information and inconsistencies.
• Ensure reports meet client-specific insurance and documentation requirements.
• Verify that documents align with internal company guidelines, industry standards, and applicable requirements.
• Provide clear, constructive, and easy-to-understand feedback to report authors.
• Identify required amendments and ensure revisions address the relevant issues.
• Review high volumes of documentation efficiently while maintaining a strong level of accuracy.
• Complete forms and transfer client-specific information accurately using available records.
• Cross-check information between documents and source records.
• Maintain a consistent approach to quality and compliance across all reviewed documentation.
• Escalate discrepancies or concerns where additional clarification is required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in Quality Assurance, Document Review, Report Review, Compliance, Administration, or a similar detail-focused role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to reviewing information.
• Ability to identify inconsistencies, errors, and missing information.
• Ability to provide feedback clearly and professionally.
• Strong comprehension skills with the ability to understand detailed documentation and requirements.
• Ability to explain complex edits or required changes in a simple and understandable manner.
• Comfortable working with high volumes of information and documentation.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while consistently meeting quality and productivity expectations.
