The Principal Consultant is a senior role within Intapp's Professional Services team, sitting at the intersection of strategic advisory, platform architecture, and enterprise delivery. You'll lead complex DealCloud implementations for some of our most sophisticated clients — private equity firms, investment banks, and other financial services organisations — helping them unlock the full potential of the platform in ways that are practical, scalable, and directly tied to business outcomes.

Day to day, you'll run end-to-end enterprise engagements: working with senior stakeholders, designing tailored solution architectures, overseeing data migration, and enabling client teams through training and documentation. You'll also play a meaningful role within the consulting team itself — shaping delivery frameworks, supporting colleagues, and contributing to pre-sales and scoping. This role suits someone who is equally comfortable in a client workshop and a complex data model, and who finds genuine satisfaction in building things that last.

What you will do

As a Principal Consultant, you can expect to:

• Lead enterprise DealCloud engagements from discovery through to go-live, acting as the primary point of accountability for solution design, delivery quality, and client satisfaction.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders — facilitating strategic conversations, translating complex requirements into scalable platform configurations, and ensuring the solution aligns with business goals.
• Own data strategy and migration planning for enterprise clients, analysing legacy datasets and designing architecture that supports clean, usable data from day one.
• Develop and apply design frameworks and QA processes that raise consistency and quality across the consulting practice, and share knowledge with peers and junior team members.
• Contribute to pre-sales and scoping activities, shaping solution scope, supporting order form development, and helping prospects understand the value of what we can deliver.

 What you will need

Intapp is looking for intellectually curious, self-motivated professionals who like to get hands-on to contribute to the overall success of the business and their team. To apply for this Principal Consultant role, you will ideally have:

• Significant experience in client-facing, project-based software implementation, with a proven track record of leading complex enterprise engagements.
• A background in private equity, investment banking, or a related financial services environment — you understand how these firms operate and what they need from their technology.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex, ambiguous requirements into well-structured, scalable platform solutions.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills — you're confident leading workshops with senior stakeholders and equally effective collaborating across internal teams.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with SaaS platforms and data architecture concepts; experience with SQL or relational databases is a plus.
• A collaborative mindset and genuine interest in elevating those around you — through knowledge sharing, mentoring, or simply modelling good practice.
