Job Summary

Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Clinical Neuroimaging of PTSD and Related Disorders

McLean Hospital is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with a primary focus on investigating the neurobiology of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and related emotional disorders using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), including functional MRI. The fellow will be mentored by Nathaniel Harnett, Ph.D. and Isabelle Rosso, Ph.D., and will have access to the rich academic and scientific environments of McLean Hospital and Harvard Medical School.

The fellow will work on funded studies investigating the neural mechanisms underlying PTSD, depression, and anxiety, with opportunities to analyze functional and other magnetic resonance imaging data. A major focus of the position will be the analysis of resting-state fMRI data using multiple analysis approaches (including GICA, seed-based, network-based) across multiple datasets.

The position offers substantial opportunities for scientific development, including leading manuscripts, presenting findings at national and international conferences, contributing to grant applications, developing new research questions using existing datasets, and building an independent program of research. The fellow will join a multidisciplinary and highly collaborative research environment that brings together neuroscientists, psychologists, psychiatrists, statisticians, and clinical researchers.
