About the role
As a Paralegal, you will support Everway's legal function by providing advice and assistance on commercial contracts, supplier agreements, data protection, governance, and corporate activities.
You will work closely with Sales, Procurement, Finance, Compliance, Product, Info Security, AI, and other stakeholder teams to help manage legal risk while supporting business objectives.
Main responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Support the review, negotiation, and management of SaaS customer agreements and related contractual documentation.
- Review supplier contracts and provide guidance on legal risks and obligations.
- Support stakeholders in resolving contractual issues and negotiations.
- Support data protection activities including review and negotiation of DPAs.
- Assist with intellectual property management and related legal matters.
- Support legal activities associated with mergers, acquisitions, and entity rationalisation.
- Assist with vendor due diligence and legal questionnaires.
- Support risk-management, corporate governance activities, policies and internal controls.
Essential criteria
- Legal qualification, paralegal qualification, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Familiarity with commercial contracts within a SaaS or technology environment.
- Knowledge of data protection and privacy regulations.
- Experience supporting legal work within a commercial environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders across the business.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
Desirable criteria
- Experience supporting M&A or post-acquisition integration activities.
- Experience with intellectual property matters.
- Experience supporting procurement or vendor-contracting processes.
- US law experience
- Experience in relation to AI matters in the Saas environment
- Experience with CLM implementation
